Gee Daph, what a silly thing to do. That's the last thing they'd talk about in there! If you're really stuck for some conversation, you could probably go in there and start a thread about how yor left shoe looks a little different from your right shoe, but you can't quite work out where the difference is...

Hey Malibu, cant tell you how long I stopped and had a look at some little crochet knee rugs last week, would have bought you one but they didnt have a blue and white one. I so wanted to buy one for you and I really would have except for the colour.
Well sorry to invade your board (especially sorry to Doc - but I wont' be here long I promise)

We are realists....forget the fact we have just won 7 in a row. Forget the fact that we did actually (finally) win in Melbourne in round 15.
We are realists. If we are going to lose again in the near future, it is going to be this weekend.
So what you lost to Essendon and we beat them. So what that the press is insuating your lot is going to be worn out after such a performance the other day.
Take it as a sign of respect. For most of us - doesnt' matter who they played, whether they won or lost, North are a team that you never ever underestimate.
North are our nemesis. As I have been well known to say recently - the year North don't make the finals, is the year Brisbane make the GF. Take it as a compliment.
Anyway all that behind us - looking forward to meeting some of you for pregame drinks. Will be great to put faces to names

BTW Danni, Saturday night's match starts at 7pm (instead of 7.40pm as I might have previously indicated). Not sure yet when gates open and Locker Room opens.
ahhh 35 eye - that is the beauty of football - there is always that glimmer of hope hidden way back in your heart - telling you "this is the one to see"
but that aside - it is the game that was most 'financially viable' for my family. Taking my son on his first plane ride and first trip to melbourne - courtesy of my under 3 month dearly departed grandfather, a melbournite thru and thru, someone I miss terribly and someone who took me to Melb at around the same age my son is. Someone I promised I would take my son to see the same sites he took me/us (being my sister and me) to see. Sentimental value comes in very handy. If I was only coming down for the game - I wouldnt' be flying down tomorrow. I would have left it till Saturday morning.
Win or lose - for a brisbanite - I think it is important for my son to see the other side of the coin. Last year - 9th June - it was intimidating enough for me to be in the minority crowd - at least I can introduce him early to it. And btw - even tho you lot won - i dont' regret coming down for that game - it was a fantastic game - only game EVER that I have come away with proud but severly disappointed attituded. Possibly similar attitude you left the G with on Sunday.

All Saturday night games at Colonial this year have started at 7pm, something that slips the minds of a lot of people, myself included.

Doc, you just have lost any respect I had for your postings - by calling us the 'Bears'. Beware those throwing stones in glass houses. Should you personally EVER have to go thru what we went thru, I still couldn't' wish you bad. It is something I wouldn't' wish on my worst enemy.
I still do find it amazing that you are so devoid of personal debate (yes that is what I deleted - along with the fact your other roos contributors do it so well - but you are so against it - I decided that my what i percevied as a personal attack was unwarrented) especially when it is initiated by someone giving your team such respect.
Lucky for me I don't' take the word of one to make my opinions - I take the performance of a team and the opinions of many supporters.
don't like it? too bad!

I dont want, need or have earnt your respect im a N.M.F.C fan branded that way thing were different a long time ago but I dont have to explain to you do I.
I dont care if we become like the real Lions playing D3 ammos Ill be there maybe with a Fan Drexl and his side kick 35eye like Mobben is now. And only a few of the people here would be.

Funny thing is, at the match on Sunday, one of the girls I sit with has one and I was majorly jealous of it - maybe it's my old age!!
Hey I'll do that if we get to stand on the hill, get pissed & sing like those Coburg-Fitzroy fellas at the VFL last year. I will even wear my Skull Squad beanie.
