I was at the Collingwood vs Fremantle game as a supporter of the AFL and not barracking for either team and I was very impressed with the speed and toughness of those young dockers out there. It was building up to be a clash of the 2 young clubs (Not by tradition but by the list of players) and apart from the last quarter I found Collingwood very very poor and Fremantle looking comfortable and committeed all night.

I just want to hear what other people think of those Dockers and should clubs start taking them seriously now? Could they be a chance for the final 8?

Btw - I noticed a Brad Bootsma in the lineup for them too and then I heard that he was debuting at 27 - does anyone know of any present day footballers who debuted at such a late age as this?

Didn't see the game (AFL on TV in Sydney ? - I'd like to see that)

But the Dockers are going fine at the moment, young, fit, hard-running, hard-tackling and a more accountable style under Damian Drum has these guys playing really well at the moment.

Sort of makes alot of the pre-season predictions about wooden spoons and such now seem a bit stupid heh ?

Eddie should have got his way and let the Peasants in for free. Paying to watch the Colliwobbles is robbery.

I really hate to gloat (really!), but I told you so! The Dockers are one team you can never (and I mean EVER!) underestimate. One by one the other teams are realising that.
Although, they'll probably go down by 10 goals this week such is the unpredictability of Freo....

Love their running style of play, but how frustrating are they to watch?

I saw the dockers on TV in round one vs Geelong, and could only be impresses with them.

Of all the wins Geelong have had this year, The dockers would rate in the top two or three, probably the Melbourne win was the best, then the eagles. But the Dockers wre tough that night.

To get over them in Perth was a wonderful win.

But that's where they can't win!

What is it now, 3 away wins (the other 'away' game was our home derby -so still in Perth!), and 1 home win?

They are so hard to follow....

i too kinda hope the dockers go ok now. After watching them play essendon i thought to myself that they would be better than people think and although they have been up and down theyre definitely getting better.
Good to see them (or anyone) beat the pies. Post match, I also thought Damian Drums girlish screams in the rooms were a crack up.
:)

Ummmm no, the Dockers didn't win the spoon. St. Kilda did.

Is the game, Dockers v Pies @ the dome in round 8, 2000. Still remember the game vividly. Hasleby kicked 2 goals in the last quarter to seal it.

It was played on a Monday night, wasn't it?
