The most impressive thing for me that ive seen from this squad is there ability to come up with an important goal from a stopage when the games tight.

Jacksons goal against saints, martins goal against sydney come to mind.

This will come in handy when we start playing finals.

Whats impresses you?

when dustin kicks crazy out of no were goals

he will be the next big thing you watch:thumbsu:

The thing that has inpressed me so far is the fact we are able to generate a quarter when our backs are to the wall and are down by 20-50 points. Then we just pull out a ripper 3rd quarter like the game against Carlton and Collingwood even Hawthorn to an extent. Both times we never looked like we could kick more then 3-4 goals in a quarter then BANG we go nuts and kick 6-0 or 6-1 and kill the opponent who is a top 4 team.
The thing that disappoints me is when we let all that hard work go to waste for example Carlton and Collingwood games. All we need is to put 3-4 quarters of footy like we played against Carlton and Collingwood in the 3rd quarter's and we will match it, if not beat most of the teams outside the top 4-6 and make finals.

I've been impressed by some of our ball transition and our ability to score quickly as a result of that, but at the same time, far less impressed obviously with how infrequently we've taken the game on and played like that. Other things like general group decision making (kicking instinctively to the right spots from certain situations especially) and the way we're improving at getting numbers to contests and supporting each other when we're playing our better football.

Quite a few players have impressed me, Conca and Batchelor seem to be getting better each game and are going to be good players with strong defensive characteristics, skills and run, Helbig has shown some good signs while not being ready yet IMO, Jackson has been a rock, very consistent and reliable, good decisions, disposal etc., Vickery is improving steadily in all facets of his game and has been showing some amazing agility at ground level.

Rance looked to have improved quite a bit, Cotchin is slowly taking the next step, looking great when he's on but needing to be more consistent, Astbury has had a tough year so far, but his disposal has been first class overall, hits some tough targets at times on his non-preferred foot etc. very classy player and going to be a ripper for us.

Graham is coming along well and I have to say, despite Jack being knocked out and his horror next game, a handful of contests and plays this year have hinted to me that he's gone up another notch and we're in for an exciting season from him. Martin is close to his best form from last year, going incredibly well for a 2nd year kid, doesn't get enough pats on the back. :thumbsu:

Most of the others are more senior players who have been impressive and even very impressive at times, but not consistent enough IMO.

our midfield pack has accumulated alot of ball against some stiff opposition, Martin, Cotchin Grigg, Delids and Jacko all near 30 possies on FRI..foley will soon be up there...If we can take that into games going forward JR8 will have plenty to feast on:thumbsu:

ah we rely on too few to do too much. i believe we ave the least amount of possies per player in the comp. this despite having a good return against collingwood.

Just our game plan.

Excluding the Suns, Sydney, Tiges and Port have the least disposals, but the same three are in the top 4 for long kicks.

Our development, performance, game plan and overall improvement compared to only this time last year.

Friday night we had a plan to take them on and bring the footy back into the corridor as early as possible. We got slaughtered for 2 quarters, but we stuck with it and kept having a crack, and as a result, won the 3rd quarter. That impressed me. Could've easily gone into lock-down mode, but we didn't.
