Whats with your conservative approach to footy, you cant play someone on the odd chance that the other coach may a player in a certain positon. If Ball or Jolly dont play forward, then Gaspar has no role in the team. Sydney normally play with a small forward line anyway and with question marks on Balls fitness I dont see him playing in the forward line. Id prefer Green to play ahead of Gaspar, atleast he is versatile and can add something to our team no matter what Roos chooses to do.
I reckon Gaspar gives us more flexibility. He releases Hunter to go forward.
With Gaspar at CHB, Hunter and Staker become tall utilities that can play at either end. Without him I think where a bit restricted.
Ball and Jolly will both spend time forward at some stage.
How is Green versatile? Do you reckon he could do a job on O'Loughlin or O'Keefe? That's what we need at the moment. We have enough midfielders. We need flexibility in defence.

Id prefer to play a smaller team, If we have a small forward line that means LRT is rendered useless, LRT cant play on Embley or Cousins, it would mean that Crouch and Ben Matthews will have to go to defence hurting there midfield. In the last qtr in the QF we played a small forward line and it worked, We will have to do that again to win.
LRT will take Gardiner. Bolton will take Hansen and Barry will take whoever else plays forward out of Staker, Seaby and Embley.
I think we have the height up forward to unsettle Sydney. I agree that we don't want to go in top-heavy, but if we have an advantage we should press it home.
