Universal taking the first step.

Just make this the norm. $20 per movie is not bad. I prefer watching a movie at home on the big screen. You can smoke weed, get pissed, eat what you want and pause at any time.

Bring it on.

This may end up killing the cinema industry in one blow.

Still prefer the big screen for many films. Especially sci-fi.

Yeah, there's always going to be a place for cinema.

Just like any other business in the world the smaller cinemas are going to be hit hard.

Have just about every streaming service known, but will still drop a few bucks for gold class for the blockbusters.

Definitely agree I love genuine blockbusters on the big screen.

Unfortunately nowadays, very few fit that category.

Cinemas deserve the punishment they get, they could have made the movie experience so much better and more enjoyable without exorbitant costs.

The cycle now for sci-fi and all genes is cinemas - or maybe more technically studios like Disney et al - want stuff for the broadest possible audience and if you want to make something that doesn't hit the audience over the head and hold their hand you don't bother and go straight to home viewing.
