Intensity.

That is what we lacked right from the start. It was obvious after 5 minutes. Melbourne were running at 100% from the first bounce while we were not.

While we had a token effort of lifting from some players, others were too lax.

Maybe Malthouse was right about the problems caused by players being able to read.

Too much positive press during the weeks and some think they are world beaters.

Welcome back to reality.

We will be a good team if we always give nothing less than 100%. Drop off even a little and tonight is an example of what happens.

I expect to see public floggings of the players just so they know that this simply IS NOT ACCEPTABLE.

I agree. It was a bit dewy and it just felt - odd. Its hard to describe so I dont think I will :D

Some of the boys tried their heart out and it always seems to be the sames ones over and over.

Good to see Morrison and Hartigan give it a fair old crack. Maybe some of the others can learn from that.

Besides the tackle that Bowden got in the centre, I thought he also went hard at the footy. In recent times he barely would of had a go.

It was disappointing but a few positives did come out IMO.
