I don't know about him, but I am banking on the sticky tape that holds Varlamov together breaking and Grubauer becoming number one for the Avs.

Grubauer should start now, but be interesting to see how he goes with a much bigger schedule of starts.

It is worth the risk, considering my other goalies.

Luongo is old as dirt and although still very good, he’s injury prone.
Lundqvist is old as well, coming off knee surgery and now has a rebuilding rags team ahead of him.
Schneider lost his no. 1 job to Kinkaid, had hip surgery and not expected to play until November.
Grubauer is unproven as a no.1 and I wasn’t willing to use a keeper slot on him. I got good value for him in getting a 2nd round pick as I picked him up off free agent pool late last season.

Yahoo has swapped penalty minutes for hits as a default setting.

Maybe we should do the same for our league?

I would also like to introduce blocks as a scoring category for shorthanded points or game winning goals. Purely so that encourage more defenseman on each teams rosters.
