Some of you have complained about posts being wiped for very little reason lately.
I have found what is probably the cause and the issue has been dealt with.
If you find a post to be offensive use the 'Report this post' link. Otherwise it will probably not be looked at as there is so much material that goes through these boards, and I cannot be the sole arbiter of what is offensive.
Offensive is not just threats, extreme abuse, vulgar and obscene language but can also be repeated low-level abuse and harrassment.
Often your BEST response to these offensive posts is to report them, and then IGNORE them. Responding quoting the obscenities or abuse only makes more work for the moderators in that they have to wipe not only the original post, but also the replies.
Responding to nuisance posts also encourages the nuisance user, as the reason they post such abuse is to get a name for themselves and provoke any sort of reaction. Negative reactions are what they WANT - they are not a way you can bring them to their senses.
Replying to obscene messages with posts saying 'Bluey please do something about this idiot' is also ineffective as I am unlikely to read EITHER post. Use the 'Report Post' link. That is what it is there for.
