Dayne Beams is feeling good about the impact an increased workload during his second preseason will have on his 2010.

The 19-year-old midfielder enjoyed a fine debut season after being drafted with the 29th overall pick at the end of 2008, playing 18 games and finishing fourth in the AFL Rising Star award.

All that came after he, like all first-year players, completed a modified preseason program.

Now, with a full year of physical maturity behind him, Beams is feeling well equipped to take his game to another level in 2010, with the club's US training camp the ideal foundation.

“The workload’s been heavier than last year,” Beams told CTV in Arizona.

“I suppose I’m only going to benefit from it in my footy, my fitness will be higher, so it’s good to get stuck into a full preseason.”

This kids sounds like another Pendles with his Drive to get Better and his Professionalism.
