I see the gang's all back.

In preparation for the (relatively soon?) appeal outcome...

Under new amendments to the ASADA act the ADRVP step has been removed, which means the AAT step is removed.

This body won't have a separate appeals tribunal like the AFL (rare for a sport to have this) thus be straight to this body than appeal to CAS.

So not sure where you getting the five years from....

Yes, Guzzle is exaggerating - The fact is it took ASADA 16 months to decide players should be charged, and it took 25 months until the AFL's Anti-Doping Tribunal decision was finalised - This is unacceptable under any circumstances.

And now you exaggerating, only took the AFL 9 months not 25 as they can't do anything until players are charged, so count should be from ASADAs charge time not day 1. Of that 9 months a fair chunk of it was due to the Hird and EFC court cases and as found out at CAS that while not a party the players did request a delay in the tribunal until the results of the hearing and appeals are known. The rest of this 9 months is pretty much the normal due process of nearly 20 days of hearing and deliberation time.

Agree though ASADA took to long, which is why the players received back dated bans.

yeah, you're talking about the CAS panel's decision right? Couldn't agree more - more holes than a Swiss cheese!

Yes, the CAS found you guilty because your club cheated!!!!! What a s**t club they were!

At least the club's been cleaned out of all the people around at the time, all done, all over and now your club can restart fresh. Finally.

That said here's a radical suggestion - maybe the tribunal just got it wrong and it was not a conspiracy. Lots of courts and tribunals get it wrong and have decisions appealed.

Re "independence" - I think it would be good merely in terms of appearance but I cannot honestly say "to avoid fix-ups"

Bigfooty is chock a block with conspiracy theorists. Football drives people mad and makes people post bullshit (me included). The same "lack of logic" bagging out the tribunal from non Eddendon supporters was used by Bomber supporters after the CAS decision - it's a pro-soccer anti afl conspiracy

Crazy - the lot of you

Even more radical maybe the tribunal also got it right based on what was presented...

For example.

ASADA's own expert witnesses not being sure the substance that got molecular tested was TB4...(partly due to molecular testing not being his area of expertise). If ASADA's own expert not sure how could the tribunal be sure?
WADA expert witness, with expertise in molecular testing, was 99% sure.. Ok so CAS could be sure...

But it's all about the optics anyway....

Yep - forgot about that new evidence. Hugely important

More fun to allege AFL conspiracies though isn't it?
