So Wentz has zero excuses pretty much after the Colts signed Fisher.

1) Great line
2) Familiar (favourite) head coach and scheme
3) Weapons galore.
4) Solid run game.

We will be able to tell by half way thru this year if Wentz is washed up or not

I should know that.
Well, Wentz-Eason-Ehlinger is set in stone then.
Given Wentz is injury prone, i exoect Eason to start games and to wow,sir the Colts fans.
They wont carry 3 qbs. Eason vs Ehlinger for the backup job and id imagine loser will go on practice squad.

The Fan’s Kevin Bowen reports the Colts view TE Kylen Granson being used in a “similar role” to Trey Burton.
Granson “made a strong impression” at spring practices. The Colts see potential for an early season role for Granson, with Frank Reich calling him an “explosive athlete” that’s “picking up the offense fast.” Playing the Burton role in a Carson Wentz offense would give Granson a 34% snap share with upside for more. The rookie fourth-rounder is competing to open the season in a committee with Jack Doyle and Mo Alie-Cox.

Carson Wentz not practicing Friday due to foot injury
Posted by Josh Alper on July 30, 2021, 10:12 AM EDT

The Colts are resting several veteran players during Friday’s practice, but that isn’t the reason why quarterback Carson Wentz will be sitting out.
Wentz will miss the workout with a foot injury. There’s been no other information from the team about the severity of the issue or when Wentz might be back on the field. Jacob Eason, Sam Ehlinger and Jalen Morton will handle the quarterbacking duties for the time being.

The Colts practice on Saturday and then have their first day off of training camp on Sunday, so the schedule might lead to Wentz taking the weekend off to ensure all is well before he returns to action.

Wide receiver T.Y. Hilton, guard Quenton Nelson and tight end Jack Doyle are the Colts players taking a rest day on Friday

Colts QB Carson Wentz suffered a foot injury Thursday that will keep him out indefinitely.
Wentz is undergoing further testing on his foot, which he injured at the end of Thursday's practice. Second-year QB Jacob Eason took over with the first team offense Friday, with Sam Ellinger working as his backup. The Athletic's Zak Keefer reported that Wentz felt a "twinge" in his foot, but the severity of the injury is still unknown. It's possible the Colts look to add a veteran quarterback in the coming days.
