I thought Chris Egan might have been because he comes from Rumbalara They are a big Aboriginal town and have a team in the Central Goulburn Football League

Eddie Betts will like face concerns over his size considering how tiny he is, but considering that he's about the same size as guys like Phil Matera and David Rodan (skinnier than Rodan though) if I was drafting, I'd take him late in the draft for sure, and if he doesn't at least get rookie listed, it'll be a travesty of the highest order.

On another note, I had no idea some of these guys were Aboriginal...

Shannon Cox a utility from Sth Freo is touted as a late pick possible rookie. Aaron Davey's younger brother Alwyn has been looked at by a few clubs according to the NT News, along with former Palmerston players playing in S.A Mathew Stokes(eagles) and Peter Shepherd(west adelaide).
Ones from left field but highly unlikely are: Tommy Corbett-Wynne and Brad Collard(sth freo) Davron Franklin(east perth) Darrin Smith(perth) from W.A
Aaron Motlop, Mark Mclean, Jonno Mullins, Harold Calma and Warren Berto fom darwin.

Here is a couple more names: Djaren Whyman,Alex Isailovic,
In my opinion, neither of these guys have a chance to be drafted.

Whyman has taken 3 years of VFL footy with 3 teams and does not have the mentality nor the temprament to be an AFL footballer. Would be a joke if he is drafted. Has found the right environment in Ballarat, but for how long?

Isailovic is a VFL seniors FRINGE player at best. Not close to an AFL player compared to some other VFL guys that went around in '04.

Djaren Whyman is a lovely fellow from a good family. Unfortunately, he was rookie listed in the first place instead of going into the main draft (when Hawthorn grabbed him) because of his lack of fitness. This issue with fitness has continued to plague him. If you were to meet him you'd think he looked fit, but it's what you can push yourself through to get the best out of yourself that matters. If he had Cameron Ling's attitude then he would have made it to a senior list somewhere. He has a lot of skill, speed and a good leap for a smaller player. But we all know that to even be given a chance you have to have a high level of fitness to begin with.

Unfortunately it appears he is incapable of pushing himself to his limits.

(Yeah, like I can talk! )

Yeah, I can see what you are getting at.

I concur that he is a good bloke. I've met him a few times and spoke to him in bits and pieces - he is very approachable and has a different persona compared to your typical footballer.

My image of him is slightly tainted due to his attitude at Box Hill once he got stuck in the VFL reserves.

That said, he has taken himself a long way at North Ballarat this year and I think he has got himself in the right team structure. However, I don't think he has the killer instinct within to push himself hard enough to be an AFL footballer.

Djaren is a top bloke, but like u all said before he doesn't have the mental capacity or the physical fitness to be an AFL footballer, if he did work as hard he could, there wouldn't be a doubt that he could play AFL football.

Djaren has already had his chance in the AFL, picked up in the second round of 2002 draft. He was delisted from Hawthron due to disciplinary reasons.
Djaren Whyman was only ever a rookie listed player at the Hawks but I agree he probably had a few off field problems.

I heard from someone, that he was dared to try and pop of Schwab with a drop punt to the head from like 30 metres out and sconed him right in the back. So I've been told, hasn't been proven.

Big chance I reckon because his passing was always his best asset.

Myles Krakouer will more than likely get father-sonned to the Kangaroos next year
Nominated for the draft this year.
Had to get permission from the AFL as rule changes made for this season meant he was to young to draft. His case was analysed and given special consideration.

Does this mean that Richmond will pick him up just before the Kangaroos are about to? :p
