Pretty fascinating season of television that felt almost like a funhouse mirror version of our actual reality.

Kit Harrington's best work, anywhere. The show has always been class-coded, but never more apparent in Henry's rebuke of Whitney. And then ultimately ends with him paying for Tender's collapse by living under house arrest in his castle, fishing.

If Stefanowicz becomes a series regular then there's an obvious place for Season 5 to go. But ultimately it could go anywhere. Love to still be hyped for a fifth and final season of a show.

Also Yasmin usually there’s time skips to show how progressively evil they become. But she just wakes up and levels up. Incredible convey of acting and emotion from the eyes and hands
I don't know if she woke up to be Ghislaine Maxwell - it's kinda always been there going back to the season 2 arc with Venetia - but she now has the means, and nothing else going for (or that's she's good at).

Informed by her father and her upbringing of course - the line from this season that her aunt says to her is like the most chilling thing I've ever heard on tv.

Definitely on the it’s all she has to survive.

Saw this and was shook

I forgot that her story arc last season also resemble Maxwell whos father also fell to his death falling of a yacht named Lady Ghislaine.

Just watched the last 2 episodes.

Poor Henry. This sort of ending felt inevitable for him once he got tangled up with Yasmin. His (self-inflicted) doomed path was set a while ago, it was just a matter of which people/companies were going to chew him up and spit him out. His final scene fishing while off his head made me chuckle though.

Not that Yasmin was ever "beloved" or a good person as such, but they really pulled off the best heel/face switch since Bret/Austin at WM 13 - with her and Harper, who is still ruthless but actually showed some heart and compassion where she could.

You could call this show bleak and cynical but it's scary how accurately it does portray the world - once you peel a few layers back and see where corruption/power/big money takes you.

Terrific season. Best TV show for the 20s so far? It's top 5 for me.

Is it too far to call this show better than Succession? I'm certainly feeling that way especially after this season. The characters are just a bit more interesting
im toying with that idea too haha.
For me succession is like Breaking Bad, perfectly crafted and amazing yes, but i dont think there is any grander theme or subtext other than whats on screen. Industry isnt as succesful at pulling it off but its more like Mad Men / Sopranos where theres bigger themes and character studies being addressed.
I dont know if that necessarily means its better or just appeals to me slightly more

I was going by pure vibes, but what you say sounds better!

The acting is so over the top i cant take it seriously as one of the great shows . The scene between Yas and Henry where Yas was asking for a divorce was laughably bad. I was not the only one who had this opinion, 2 of my friends texted me the same thing without prompting from me.

That episode/scene is the outlier
Ive watched it all, I do like it otherwise i wouldn't have watched it but some of the finance stuff is ludicrous and i HATE bottle episodes like the Rishi episode from last season. They are time wasters in my opinion although i do realise that's a me problem. Harper is a caricature too.
