Honestly that makes me think we should be more competitive than I thought. I know that Hodge skews the metrics but on so many other points we seem to be about the saints

Nek minut Hodge finishes with 35 disp, 3 goals, 15 inside 50s and we win. ;)

Wasn't sure where to put this and hope the formatting works. Saw this on the main board and was interesting to see how long it's been since we actually beat some sides. Cheers RTB

Our greatest winning streak is ... one (1) game in a row ... vs GCS.

I was surprised to see our losing streak v Tigers was so low - psychologically it feels like forever :(

Normal service is resumed. The changes to the teams from last week take it from a marginal experience/age advantage for the Demons, to a significant one. Demons should really win this based on these numbers.

How does the Draft Index work?

"The pick you were first drafted at", but with the PSD, rookie draft, and zone selections/cat B rookies added on at the end of the draft (and the previous mini-draft inserted at the top).

OK

I get it ................I think

Still a bit puzzled at why we (apparantly) have what looks like two picks @ #175 and one that looks like (about) #130

Zone selections like Zorko and Bewick are right at the very bottom of what were already long drafts; Walker was rookie pick #23 following a 112-man national draft.

Average games played, we look like we are roughly 1 season behind port. 2019 Everyone will be tipping us for the finals.
We are a bit further behind than that.
Take out Hodgey and in both the games played and age there would be an even bigger gap. He distorts it a little.

Yes, he does but is he not going to a best 22 player for majority of games for this year and next? We can't just not include him because one of his roles is to mentor our young players.

Nah.

There are two things which make this look even uglier.

One, Luke Hodge personally increases our average age by an extra 11 games.

The other problem is at the bottom end. Port is also playing the youf, but have an edge on experience at the upper end (where it makes less difference).

Richmond on the other hand... they've got us on the spread.

Richmond's Gini coefficients are so low it's practically communism.
