Today the inFAMOUS demo was leaked onto the Hong Kong store accidentally. Don't bother looking because it's already been removed. Some lucky people got in quick though.

WOW!!!!!!! How awesome is the opening cinematics?
 
I'm gonna resist the temptation now to watch anything, so I won't watch that, will look at some reviews and impressions as long as they don't give too much away, but basically I want to do what I did with Killzone 2(Try not to have anything spoiled), which payed off in spades, all I really want to know though is how big the map is, there hasn't been one leak about the map size, something I am dying to find out about.

The first review in from the UK Playstation Magazine has given it a 9/10, impressions from the demo have been great too.

I'm guessing the leak was because of the demo being available to those with a pre-order code(Not available in Aus:() and some douche accidently put it on the store instead of making it available as a code download.

The only thing I am debating now is whether or not to download the actual demo on the 21st.

BTW the release date is still looking to be June for Aus:(, as stated during the event that the Ghostbusters exclusivity was announced, hope it's wrong.
 
Cool video. I hope some store has the demo up tomorrow, nobody outside of the US could get a pre-order code, and since the demo is done it's a dick move to make everybody else around the world wait an extra 2 weeks for nothing.

Won't be up anywhere unfortunatley(Unless we get another leak), have to say the onus would come on EB and JB really, EB gave early access to the Red Faction demo a few weeks ago if you had pre-ordered, so I don't see why they couldn't have got it for inFAMOUS(Not to mention a bevvy of other games), would certainly give plenty of people a reason to pre-order.

gameplay footage rocks.....i mean that particular mission looked kinda average but the overall look and destruction and powers looked great

can't wait!
 
A demo hands on from ThatGamingSite calls the demo the best they have EVER played and says that every PS3 owner who loves an action game NEEDS to get this.

The demo alone has convinced me that every PS3 owning action fan needs to buy this game immediately upon release. I say that because InFamous is one hell of a ride the second you start playing.

My time with the InFamous demo was incredible. It represents the best demo I have ever played and has convinced me that Sony has a true AAA exclusive on the way that will prove a must own. The verdict on the story and characters must wait until the full game is in my hands, but if these elements even half-way match the title's incredible gameplay and performance it will not fail to impress. Be excited Sony gamers. InFamous looks to be an amazing adition to your video game library.

inFAMOUS REVIEW INCOMING
In December, I played Infamous for the first time. In my preview, I said that it was awesome and that I'd stake my reputation on the fact that the final product was going to be awesome as well.

Yep, as usual Australia gets the arse end of the deal, 1 week after the US, at least it is still 1 week before Prototype.

All good reviews, they are starting to stack up nicely, still a few reviews I want to see(Edge:D), but this is still a 100% first day buy for me.

Both JB and EB(and GAME) have the pre-order power(Gigawatt Blades), it's just a few other extras that come with EB and JB's different pre-order options, EB comes with a special box cover art and an artbook as well as the power, while JB has a T-Shirt and the Power, you will still be able to get the power too, as long as you pre-order the game.

If you want EB's stuff, just pre-order at EB and price match on the day with JB's price of (hopefully) $89.

So to price match, what, do you take in the ad or price from the other store do you? Not that I care too much about anything other than the extra power

Yeah, it's usually best to take in some proof, you can always take the phone number of the store in and they will call to get a 100% proof price match if you don't have a catalogue/ad/etc.

But 90% of the time they will know that the game is cheaper somewhere else and how much it is(Helps for me when I go to an EB that is about 100 metres away from a JB.;)

Won't happen, the game is $109.95 as it is, $10(Thereabouts) cheaper than usual retail price, if it was truly Limited Edition then it would be more(Like the Batman version).

Although each EB I have been to usually has pretty good people behind the counter and I don't think I have had a situation where I have been pissed at them for something like that.

Worse comes to worst, I either pay full price right there, get the extras, take it back the next day and buy it from JB, but I HIGHLY doubt that would happen.

Hmm, the demo is out next week, so hopefully I can wait(Will be better for me too in not going over monthly usage).

I haven't got the demo code though, bit dissapointed in that, I have about 4 PSN accounts and none have an email in them for the code, anyone actually done anything special to get it? Pre-order from a website/store?

Has happened before with other games, was random then.

I wouldn't actually know if I got an email, as my email that I used for my AU account is now shut down, so basically renders mine useless, but plenty of people have got them by now.
 
Big download. 1,239MB.
Moved PS3 to allow wired download and took 29mins.
Was a lot more fun than I expected. Might consider buying the game.
Character is very, very sticky. All the jumping & climbing happens with ease.
Controls are pick up & play which suits me.
Graphically very impressive.
They say it's open world but from that demo if you go off track a block or 2 it says abandoning mission and the screen goes black & white, then re-starts.
