Meet Up Information for PAFC fans attending Melbourne games in 2016

For those going to Melbourne games note the following info from the PAFC Cheer Squad. At the time of writing this the club's Supporter Group page is still showing Bells, that's wrong.

A new home in Melbourne for the Vic Supporters Group

The Victorian Supporters Group will have a new venue to call home in 2016. The Royal Derby Hotel in Fitzroy will now be the place to gather weekly to watch the Power play. The VSG will be the only supporter group at the Royal Derby so will always be given priority when the Power are playing.

The Royal Derby is easily accessible by tram from the City (No. 11) and there is also plenty of parking in the car park in the middle of Alexandra Parade, opposite the Fitzroy Swim Centre. There is some parking in the surrounding streets, however this is metered parking so to be safe your best bet is to try the car park opposite the swim centre. The No. 11 tram will also take supporters directly to Southern Cross Station to Etihad Stadium. It’s about a 10-15 walk to the G from the tram stop.

What happened to Bells?

Think some of the VSG were unhappy with it, and they never enjoyed having to share it and co-exist with the Crows supporters group. So this bloke from the new pub in Fitzroy got a hold of our Vic supporters group and invited them over. People went out there to test it out and were impressed and thought that it would be a better option than Bells.

Would prefer CBD or even Richmond I'll make an effort to check it out though!

You disagree that Fitzroy is not the epicentre of wankdom in this country?

Not to be trite but

Anyway, there are innumerable more objectionable cultural stereotypes in Australia than hipsters.

Impressed that there is a bar called "Naked For Satan" on the walk to the 'G from there.

Nice rooftop bar that. To be honest if you did a bar crawl from The Royal Derby Hotel to the G you'd get there some time on Tuesday. Plenty of great watering holes.
