But on topic. I too am amazed that there was not one single rumour out there on this.

I'll give credit to Bond and Rosich, but it also suggests that very very few people actually knew and/or it was all done very very quickly so that there was no time for rumours etc. If it is the former, I sure hope it works out. A lot of noses can be put out when you feel you should be in the know (eg. lead players, assistant coaches etc.) and you weren't told.

Interesting to hear how this all came about when the dust settles.

The last year or 2 the club has really focused in on controlling the information flow to the media - i thought it was Harves doing cause he hates some of the mupptets like MD at the west - but maybe it went deeper.

Who is our president anyway? One thing for sure is i know the presidents of a lot of other footy clubs cause they are all out in the media a bit - but i don't even know who's on our board (which is a good thing i reckon if they are just getting on with their jobs) - interesting...

The vic media don't send the feelers out wide enough to catch this stuff, they're hardly concerned with what goes on over here.

WA media just aren't as cutthroat and would be just as stunned as Harves.
