WTF is going on:mad:    Four poster's:mad:

Apart from that we arent playing to bad we are attacking the footy hard delvery is alot better into the forwardline and Carey is much better closer to goals, keep it up Crows:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Five posters. The majority of them very kickable goals.

I thought the delivery going forward was pretty average. Same old story for us: got it forward plenty of times but couldn't convert.

A lot of woeful set shots at goal too.

Our kicking for goal today was nothing short of disgraceful. For AFL players the skills were shocking. Burton's miss at the start of the last quarter was disgraceful. It robbed us of any potential momentum when it was always going to be important against a home crowd in the last quarter. We didn't deserve to win with the chances we wasted.

PATHETIC. DISGRACEFUL. EMBARASSING and UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!

I cannot believe this crap. 6 posters and some of gimme goals missed is disgraceful. We can't kick a goal to save our lives and our delivery is nothing short of disgraceful.

Its not only kicking for goal but McLeod cost us that game with 2 crutial mistakes in defence. He needs to take a good hard look at himself. Welshy was pathetic. He has no bloddy awareness.

Carey go get a lesson in kicking for goal because you well and truely suck BIG TIME.

The really pathetic, disgraceful, embarrasimng and unacceptable thing about todays loss is that this crap has been going on for years. With all of our resources and staff we still do not learn.

Our kicking for goal has been woeful for ages and nothing seems to change. with the delivery and the leads from the forwards out to the flanks it has been made worse.

We have struggled to kick 10 goals per game for the past three weeks and for a side aiming for the finals that is so far below the mark its not funny.

Our decision making and skills under pressure today were scary. A combination of lack of confidence, lack of awareness and lack of footy brains. Frightening combination!

Welsh's turnover was awful, but was Smart yelling at him to pass off? If he was'nt why not? If Welsh ignored him, that needs to be addressed!

Biglands - I have said several times I dont like him in defence.

He did everything I didnt like today - he was lead to the ball, outbodied in marking contests and generally played dumb football and topped it off with striking the Freo player. Bloody great big waste of talent is R Biglands!

Biglands will go for that charge and so he should. That was bloody stupid - Biglands needs to wake up and start playing decent footy when he returns!

As for next week In's: Torney for Goody, maybe Jericho and if he hasa good week on the track Perrie for Biglands.

We need to build on the intensity we displayed today with some sharper skills and smarter decision making.

Perrie is not the man for smarter decision making.

But seriously, today's game was letdown. After such a promising first half, we let our guard down and were overun by a team which also struggled.

Our kicking skills were terrible. Scotty Stevens is a great marker, but something really needs to be done about his kicking.

Carey tried hard, but missed the goals on too many occasions. One of the King's best traits in Football has let him down.

Macca really needs a hard look at himself. Some terrible mistakes, kicking and overall ability. What happened to his chasing? Does he have any explosiveness anymore?

Anyway, we still came away with some major improvements. Our midfield looks stronger, Roo is back in great form, and Reilly did some great things.

Hentschel? The kid was a star today. 2nd best player in the side. Took contested marks, kicked very well, and did everything we could of asked from him.

But Adelaide really need to stand up. No more stupid football. We have the ability, let's make use of it. Let's kick properly, let's gain some confidence, and LET'S KICK STRAIGHT!!!

We can do it, but I'm yet to see it.

Fair call. But how many talls do we have that can come in? Hart is no certainty atm, Rutten not fully fit...not much else available to us other than Sarge.

Goal kicking accuracy has been a problem for us basically since the flags. Apart from 2002 we have been woefull at goal kicking pretty much every year.

Even know I can think back to last year in the match against Freo at Subi, Stiffy had two set shots in the first quarter and he missed them. If he kicked them we would have won.

Obviously Stiffy is generally a good kick for goal, but on the whole it is something that has let us down and cost us games.

Yeah one of those actually landed on top of the goal square.

Its obvious Darren Jarman isnt helping...

Just a suggestion...
I don't think we can ping this on Jars. At the end of the day responsibility rests purely with players.

Lets not forget how much of a crap kick Perrie had a couple of years ago. He was worse than Scott Stevens is today. Now you can just about lick your pencil when Perrie lines up for goal even at the tightest of angles.

Changing bad kicking habits is one of the hardest things to correct in footy. Player has to have a commitment in improving his kicking.

Yeah true. They were dead set crap today. My grandma may have kicked better than them, and she just had a blo0y hip operation at 85! :o

Its all to do with your gameplan.

Jerome said its because your leading to the flanks. More like your leading to the 4th row in the stand. I cannot believe how wide Carey and co. lead. Its shocking. Your forward line arent the best of kicks normally but it gives them no hope at all when they are instructed to lead towards the boundary line. In that second quarter how often did Carey lead to that outer boundary? About 7 times.

Take Ports game today just as an example. We had Primus, Tredrea, Burgoyne and Thurstans all leading up the ground in the corridor. The majority of our marked shots on goal were from either directly in front or from minor angles. It gives our forwards the prime oppurtunity to kick goals. It gives the crumbers the prime oppurtunity to kick goals because if a mark is dropped then the crumbers gather the ball driectly in front of goal instead of the boundary line.

Crows make leads wide and they also reap what they sow. You could have the most skillful forward line going around but when the vast majority of your shots are from tough angles then its just shooting yourself in the foot.

Crows had the prime oppurtunity to win that game today and poor leading and poor kicking for goal cost them the match in the end.

Im still baffled by your coaches obsession with this wide gameplan. I just cannot believe he thinks that leading wide is a good idea. Its just plain common sense.

You're right of course Macca.

Every man and his dog can see this except Gary Ayres. So far this year it's like reliving the Shaw years all over again.

We know what happened to that coach for his sustained stupidity.

Spot on my friend. Spot on.

We lead way too wide but what you hear out of AFC is "how wide is wide?" . Having said that today we missed some gimme goals from directly in front. Burton, Stenglein, Carey, Ricciuto and Edwards missed some goals directly in front whether from get shots or genral play.

This certainly has merit, Jars was appointed as skills coach to improve our goal kicking prowess. If I was to grade him today I would give him an F. We have gone backwards since he came on board. Don't get me wrong I have the utmost respect for Jars as a footballer and was one of the most skilful players I have ever seen. In my opinion he should have one a Norm Smith... but I digress.

Is he now not the forward line coach as well? During his tenor our accuracy has declined and our movement in to the forward lines has become a joke. Like I said the comment has merit.

Agree not sure what the go with Mcleod ATM he doesnt have any pace in his run, seems very half hearted in his efforts, time to shave the head and get playing footy.

We are now playing so wide that we are not even playing on the feild anymore there was an occassion yesterday were Freo kicked it out of bounds we kicked it back in and it went out of bounds again:rolleyes:  The wide gameplan has to ****ING GO, it anit ****ing working I am sick to death of watching crap footy week in week out.Biglands you are a TOOL you are having a holiday for two weeks for sure raised elbow to the head, best you can do is plead guitly and hope they only give you a week:mad:   Goal kicking was woeful today from all players to many bad decisions especially in the second half not looking for better options, PLAYING TO ****ING WIDE. Positives: not many but thought Hentshel played well and didnt burn the ball he is a good future prospect, thought Hudson had quite a good 1st game and he will improve, he will get another crack this w/e, I thought Clarke did well in the ruck and won serveral bounce downs with ease, umpiring wasnt to crash hot especially that descion at the start of the game when the ump pinged Reilly for holding the ball when he had no prior opportunity he was taken straight to ground:mad:

All In all still alot to improve on, McGregor needs to go back to CHF as he is not a forwardline player, Johncock ,Burton and Ricutto played well and all tried there guts out all game;)
