Oh yeh, I had to go to the cops and give a video statement, I was told on arrival that I was under arrest for harassment by way of a carriage service.
I kinda chuckled and said “oh really?”
The female cop was very nice, so I helped with the finalisation of the 3 discs still in the archaic recording equipment they had, from the
interview performed the night before.
“A very serious incident that one” she said.
“No doubt, he looked like a cross between Chuck Manson and one of those weird blokes from Duck Dynasty”
We shared a laugh.
Anyhoo, after a few minutes sorting out the other cd’s, in walks a young male cop introduces himself and the interview begins.
Btw, they took my phone and stuff so I couldn’t record it, bummer.
“Do you know a woman by the name of ......”?
“Nup, never heard of her”
“Do you use Facebook”?
“Occasionally”
“How about messenger”
“I don’t trust messenger, so I only briefly download it, respond to messages and then delete it”
“Oh ok, would you agree that you said these words on this page on Facebook”
She shows me a photo copy of a long sentence containing the word campaigner about 20 or so times with various other words attached to campaigner.
The young male cop starts to laugh and covers his mouth and looks down.
“Yeh, that’s sounds like something I’d say on a right winged evangelical political page for sure”
She next shows a conservation I’d had with this person over messenger, with the initial post from the accuser deleted.
I ask why they had not been a part of the print out and say tell them that I was only responding to someone that was stalking me through a carriage service and it’s quite clear that Ive told the campaigner to leave me alone.
Anyhoo, tldr, the cop asks me if anything I’d said “could been seen as menacing or harassment”?
I reply, “no, I could see how in some warped way that it could cause one offence, but who cares, being offended is not a crime, did she wake up with leprosy”.
Both cops laughed at my borrowed joke and I took care of a few formalities and the female cop assured me the accusation had no merit.

I’m the realio dealio.
It was a grand waste of time and resources, I apologised profusely, they were pretty good, considering the most they deal with in Franga on a daily occurrence is domestic violence etc.
She only reported the incident because I went first and told her and her husband to stop hounding me or I’d report them.
I’d give more details but it hasn’t been finalised yet.
I do however have the DVD of the interview, once things are cleared I might do an edit and whack it on here, so we can at least have a larf!
