wouldnt get too excited saw sonny yesterday at innaloo shopping centre and he is still wearing a moon boot
Doesn't mean he is not ahead of schedule. Dangerfield was wearing a moon boot right up to he played in the game against the Suns.

Not surprised to hear that, considering Ross's "two weeks ahead of schedule" comment that everyone is getting excited about was a reference to the news already reported some time ago, not two weeks ahead of schedule on top of that.

Is it a worry to anyone else here that our only two young key defenders seem to be constantly injured?

I don't think it is a good sign at all that Smiths hamstring has taken so long.

I don't want to come off as paranoid but at the other end of the ground, Apeness, Taberner and Howson haven't really missed a beat...

Howson? :D

I am a bit concerned with Smith's hamstring. With Alex Pearce, it's his first season so a couple of minor injuries are to be expected.

I know he isn't on the list anymore, I was just using it as a point that he was on the list for a year without any real injury. We don't have too many young kpps to compare against really.

Could be, I do recall essendon players putting on a lot of weight quickly a few years ago and having a lot of soft tissue injuries. Could be the same problem just a few differences.
I think a lot of people *coughasadacough* noticed that too. If you look at the dates, most the soft tissue injuries occurred after their supplements program was self-reported.

It's good to see Duffy finally losing weeks. He's been out for so long now poor kid!

Duffy was out on the track today as was Smith. Wasn't really keeping an eye on them but they were with the main group all morning I think.

Was wondering this as well. If for example we had lost Silvagni to injury and/or Dawson to suspension who could possibly come in for either/both of them? I could only think of the Keplar who's been getting some time down back or C. Pearce (definately not a like-for-like replacement). Do we have any other rookies who could (technically) fill in?

I wasn't really thinking for the immediate future, more thinking that we might be getting some indication of their overall durability and whether we need to look for a couple more in the draft this year to develop alongside them.

Caleb Marchbank is possibly just outside our draft range this year. Looks to be going around 8-12. To borrow a basketball term, he has an enormous footy IQ, he has the size and skills to boot. Has been compared to Brian lake by knightmare (or chris25?) in his mock draft.

Long haired Champs.
Noticed that Sonson's physique is morphing from boxing and gym work and showing distinct upper body development;he's also gonna spend a lot of time kicking on his non preferred during extended rehab.
He's one driven and focused gadget alright.Don't know if he'll get enough games for this year's Coleman or Brownlow but it's only fair to warn the competition that he's coming.
