Mummy is a living legend, but surely this is a bridge too far and a reckless gamble with his health.
The only scenario in which this possibly makes sense to me is if we have literally no Ruck available to play VFL and he plays as an emergency.
In 2022 our three listed Rucks must be able to cover all AFL fixtures.

Have they stopped listing the injured players a length of injury so they don’t have to keep lying to us?Relatively good news on Haynes
“Nick saw a specialist on Monday and has been cleared of any major damage and doesn’t require surgery on his ankle. We’ll need to see how he responds to treatment and he’ll undergo a fitness test later this week.”
Nick Haynes | Ankle | Test |
Conor Stone | Hamstring | 1-3 weeks |
Zach Sproule | Shoulder | 3 weeks |
Brent Daniels | Foot | 3-5 weeks |
Daniel Lloyd | Arm | 6-8 weeks |
Jacob Hopper | Knee | 2-3 months |
Phil Davis | Hamstring | 2-3 months |
Jack Buckley | Knee | 3-4 months |
No mention of Whitfield despite the coach speaking about his injury at length in the presser?Rehab Report: Round Five

At least we've now got a timeline on Hopper.
He's just a naughty little boy.Maybe next week for contact training so I would think at least 2 weeks in the reserves and back just in time for another Toby suspension
possibly the shortest injury list the club has had in 5 years?View attachment 1391374
Medical room: The full AFL injury list, R8
Who's struggling, who's a test, check out the players from your list who are a little sorewww.afl.com.au
Hardly fringe players out however.possibly the shortest injury list the club has had in 5 years?
But let's look of the positives of those that are out the team currently. With Hopper out Tom Green has spent more time in the midfield and has shown the coaching staff he is now our most important player for the next 12 + years.Hardly fringe players out however.
