Rough for Bedendo, does he get another year? Baker re-signing and Poulter coming in (who is a few months younger and a similar height to Bedendo which amazes me) might make him surplus to requirements depending on who we are thinking of drafting.

McComb is signed until the end of the year, same with Roarke Smith and McLean. We do have quite a few others coming out of contract so that might help Bedendo's cause as well.

I’d be very annoyed if Bedendo didn’t get another year. He’s just turned 21 years old. We drafted him as a very raw kid and without a real U18s year due to lockdowns (same as Jamarra).

Year 1 was development, Year 2 he was consistently very good in the VFL and got a couple of AFL games (I would have kept him in the team over Hannan last year), Year 3 injured but apparently was looking very good pre-season. I’d rather Dom on the list next year versus another 4th round pick.

Pretty much a wasted season for Darcy, Bedendo, Roarke and Gallagher though. They all could have offered us something if fit. I’d pick Roarke ahead of McNeil, McComb and McHannan and probably Baker, VDM and Crozier too.
