What's the deal with Scotty Thompson injury?

What have you heard? By all accounts he is playing his 200th this week and there is no mention of an injury?

It was a dumb theory anyway. Clifton playing reserves didn't make him any more likely to get injured than, say, Andrew Raines in 2009 (another former gopower pick who was out for a month and a half by the end of Round 1).

That is slightly concerning, I have Thompson in DT and also some early money on his for the Brownlow. I think that Adelaide will require him on the ground more often than a top 4 team though, which eases my concern a little.

I wouldn't trust that injury list in the slightest but agreed, he will be there for his 200th.

Crows would want him to be playing his 200th at home. No way they would "rest him" in Rd 2. If it's true that he just found out he's having twins, as well as playing his 200th game, he will be mega pumped for a big game. I fully expect him to play like the Superman he looks like and accumulate 37+ possies and 145DT+ this week!

Anyone know where the DT application gets its injury info from? I have a couple of guys injured accordig to DT who dont appear on the official club injury list. (Magner for example)

No idea how they do it but i'd never rely on the App or the DT site. They don't tend to be very up to date.

The only consolation in Couch not being named this week is that Magner is sure to play now. If there was any doubts about Magner being a late out, surely Couch would have been one of the 3 emergencies? None of the 3 emergencies Melbourne named are midfielders to my knowledge...

Strained his hammy. Probably an extra 2-3 weeks. Interesting that after just one round you are looking at copping 2 zero's

I'm actually surprised that Couch isn't playing. I put it down to two reasons, he's similar to Magner and McKenzie, so team balance is an issue, and pace isn't his forte, so Subi won't suit him.

Combine that with Brown back and it's very likely he returns to a more permanent midfield role. So yes, it probably will help his output.
