I have seen the latest Injuries update on the MFC website..

Injury list as at 30 March 2010

- Colin Sylvia – Jaw – Test
- Austin Wonaeamirri – Hamstring – 2
- Neville Jetta – Groin – 3-4 weeks
- Daniel Bell - Shoulder – 4 weeks
- Cale Morton – Knee – 6 weeks
- Liam Jurrah - Shoulder – 13 weeks
- John Meesen – Ankle – Indefinite
- Max Gawn – Knee – Indefinite
- Luke Tapscott – Hip – Indefinite

Come somebody tell us about Paul Johnson, Colin Garland, Jack Watts. Enough of the rubbish we get fed from the Media and the MFC. I think as Melbourne members we deserve to know the truth about what the heck is going on with the players!!!
If Garland and Watts have recovered from their injuries, then surely they can do more than Miller and Dunn on the field and give poor Watts the opportunity to end the speculation about his selection as a number one draft pick. We are saving him for what? A new coach?

If they aren't on the list it usually means that they are available, however they haven't proven they have the match fitness to play out an AFL game.

I read an article yesterday saying that Watts would be around for round 4 until then he's getting match fitness and form playing for Casey.

Garland has been playing for Casey the past few weeks getting match fitness and should be a go for this week.

Haven't heard about PJ.

The way we played on Saturday, I think that playing Watts and Garland in the side would be more of an advantage to the team rather than waiting until April 10th for Caseys first real game to give them match fitness.

Watts & Garland have both been playing for Casey in the last couple of weeks (Casey has had practice matches like Melbourne did pre-season) and I believe Casey have another practice match this week before their round 1.

Last report I saw Watts played 50% gametime 2 weeks ago and about 60% this week just gone. Round 4 sounds about right for full match fitness. Throwing him in underdone is a terrible idea.

Yeah, agreed.

Considering how badly Bate performed against Hawthorn due to a lack of match fitness, Watts would probably struggle badly against Collingwood in only his fourth game.

Also, does anyone know if Blease will be playing for Casey this weekend?

Hopefully Watts wouldn't have nearly as many basic errors such as dropping marks or stuffing up a bounce when he had an easy run for a goal :/

Would like to know his progress too - definately seems like a forgotten player around here considering he was a pretty early pick!

NAthan Jones said on twitter today that Jack Watts was on fire in the gym. Not sure if this means he was doing well and obviously getting fitter or if Brad Miller was worried about his place in the team?

Casey seniors played tonight under lights, the game featured Cheney, Blease, maric, martin and not sure if i saw garland or not. There also may have been other players that played the first half and were shelved as i arived at half time.

One worrying thing is that Blease left the ground before three quarter time limping and went straight into the rooms, hope its nothing to do with the break. It can't have been too serious however, as i saw him sitting watching the game from the rooms and looked in good spirits hopefully just a corkie.

One good thing is that he is looking quite solid, probably 2X bigger than Cale Morton already. He was so big that i didnt recognise him till he came to the bench half way through the third and someone yelled out his name. I was searching for a little skinny rannga.

What i saw of maric looked ok nothing spectacular but got a bit of it.

Martin took some good marks but didnt kick straight with that funny horse like stuttering aproach.

Cheney did some solid stuff down back.

No sighting of PJ or Watts but as i mentioned before i arrived at half time.

Cheers wonna, bit worrying you saw no sign of Watts, would of been hoping he would be playing more then a half of footy by now, pray hes not injured again... watching the Carlton vs Brisbane game last night and Gibbs, Murphy, Kruzer are all dead set guns, theyve done well out of their number 1 picks, if this clubs going to comeback from the brink we cant afford Watts to not make it

That is so true FOOOOTY!! We need Watts. I think he looks like a smooth mover, will grow, has swagger - just get out there on the park and start getting some games under the belt big fella.
