Crowell Knee ACL Season

On Crowell, I heard they won't know the full extent of the injury until Wednesday. It doesn't look good, so let's keep our fingers crossed it is not as bad as 1st thought.

Quote from AFC - "Good and bad news on the injury front this week as Wayne Carey and Mark Stevens could both make a return, while Matthew Bode will miss a couple of weeks after straining his knee against Geelong. Find out who else will be on the sidelines this weekend."

The reality of our injuries are:

Bode - No chance of playing
Biglands - likely to play
Burns - less than 50/50 chance to play, but still a possibility.
Carey - very likely to play
Stevens - won't play for AFC, but may play for the Eagles
Stenglein - very likely to play
Ricciuto - likely to play, but I reckon he needs resting (better off paying a fit Ladhams)

arghhhh!!! that injury list is WRONG!!!! :(
If i remember rightly, Reils is only 1 WEEK away, not 2.

Last week it had 2 weeks, and 3 the week before that, so this week he should be only 1 week away, unless he has had a setback  (or its just a mistake)

dammit!!! i was counting down on my msn name the time he has left NOW ITS ALL BU GGERD UP!!!

One week or 2 weeks it doesn't really matter as there is a weekend off after this weeks game.;) The most important thing is he should play for Sturt after the break. Hopefully:(

He was injuried 5 weeks ago.

So my guess is he's got 2 weeks to go. Cause i'm sure they said 6-8 weeks.

Nah he was injured at least 6 weeks ago, meaning he only has one left. They docked a week off a couple of weeks ago, and was on 2 last week , which means he should only have one left.

What are the chances they'll play a scratch match? After all we should have a few more fit players by then!
A scratch match would be a good idea, gives our the players coming back from injury a bit of a run before we resume again. Reils might even play!! :)

Well it stands to reason with none of the sanfl players getting a run that weekend either.

Yeah, it'd be good for the guys short on match fitness. But I think there'd also be a similar number of guys who need the weeks rest.

This is true.

Simple- Give all those who need match fitness a scratch match. The others can have a good weekend :D

So taking out all the players who are injured, and all those who need a rest... it'll be about 6-a-side won't it? :)

As I said in another thread, Ricciuto was limping very badly at Melbourne Airport on Saturday night.

Also what's the latest on Stiffy's groin ( if you'll pardon the pun):)

Cheers,

a.j.

At the auction I thought they said Stiffy broke his finger?? Either way, he said he "hoped to" play this week...whatever that could mean.
