Crack at an injury list

Think everyone is recovering, rather than being injured.

- Waterman - glandular
- Cavka - foot
- Brown - knee
- Mackenzie - knee
- Gov (thumb) held back from ball work
- Yeo (hand) held back from ball work
- Kennedy (knee operation) held back from some training
- Sheppard will start in rehab group
- Schofield will start in rehab group
- Duggan (knee) might be held back from some training up until Xmas

Anyone else injured/recovering?

Some tiny updates from this link:

New recruits Jack Redden and Jonathon Giles were on lighter duties on Monday along with Josh Kennedy, Brad Sheppard and Patrick McGinnity but all did enough running and skills work to suggest they are in good condition.

Youngster Alec Waterman had a very light session. He was delisted in October and then re-drafted as a rookie last Friday following a horror year during which suffered from glandular fever.

Thanks for the update - don't think the link worked though.

Im no expert - but isnt glan. fever usually brought about by stress? common for students around exam time....

Also, how long does it last? maybe he has chronic fatigue or something else?

Edited with some research: http://www.news-medical.net/health/Symptoms-of-glandular-fever.aspx

Fatigue can last up to 6 months which sounds about right.

It isn't bought about by stress. Viral illness most frequently caught as a teenager/young adult, ie about the time in people's lives they do exams. Also called the kissing disease.

Recovering from ACL: How will our 2 fare in 2016?

Not sure what to expect in 2016 from both Brown and eMac. Observed other KPP players recovering and I expect 2016 to be an average year for both of them as players strength and confidence with an ACL normally takes them another season to get right. Casing point with Tex Walker - 2014 was reasonable without being great then in 2015 he was back to his best.

So optimistic but not expecting the eMac of 2014 this coming season. Brown is going to be lucky to get a nod ahead of eMac, Schofield and McGovern. Let alone we found a way to team defend in 2015 so they will need to adapt.

We've developed a much better system while Emac has been out of the side, he won't be expected to do anywhere near as much as he's done previously.

And hopefully he did what he said he was going to do when he went down. He said he was going to be a backline advisor/mentor, etc so he should be fully up up speed with the web.

Liam Duggan - Sore groin from plowing too much

Can we just put Mcginity on the long term injury list? his more useful there than on the park.

Demote him to a Cat B rookie

He does has a very Irish name just quietly

Naitanui and Wellingham, I read while back that they will be held back in the pre season after playing the 2015 finals series with injury ....just another excuse for the 2015 GF I cling to .

demoted to the spud shed hopefully.
