Updated:

Darling (ankle)
test
Cole (quad) test
Allen (hamstring) test
Rioli (hamstring) 5-6 weeks ( from 6-8)
Petrie (hand) 6-8 weeks ( from 10 weeks)
Lycett (shoulder) 6-8 weeks ( from 8-10)
Waterman (foot) 8 weeks ( no change)
Tunbridge (knee) Mid-late 2017 season
Naitanui (knee) Late 2017 season

That list is an improvement on last week. I expect Allen and Cole will play reserves and if Darling missed a game how would we even know?

Oh no, who will we get to replace the 6 disposals and one mark should Darling not get up to play on Thursday?

16 disposals, 6 marks, 4 tackles and a goal in the wet on a bad ankle.

The constant criticism of Darling is really starting to go over the top.

That rubber chest attempt at a mark in the 3rd (4th?) quarter was pretty embarrassing though

If we drop someone everytime they make a single mistake we'd have no players to choose.

Oh was it his ankle that was injured? I assumed it was his head the way he was flinging it around in every contest after that.

Similarly if we dropped a player for staging than Shuey wouldn't have played 10 games by now.

Is Darling perfect? No
Is he still doing his job as the secondary forward to Kennedy (secondary being a concept a lot of people on here are failing to grasp)? Yes

Allen and Cole not named for EP so if they're coming back it'll be through the reserves

Watson out of the team this weekend with an ankle injury - hope it's nothing major

Sorry if it's been discussed but do you people think Nic nats return might be based around our ladder position come finals time? Say we make a prelim and he's fit enough. honestly scares me a bit but the bloke deserves a flag and if we get a chance this year we can't be holding back thinking next year is the year surely?

yeah agree, its a tough decision and without him I don't think we can win it regardless. thing is knees take a lot of time to get confidence back. look at Emac who has never been the same and looks like he's done at top level. Just hope Nic Nat comes in fully fit. Also with his game of rucking and high jumping he needs to make sure its well and truely ready before returning.

I think he'll be back this season, I think all this talk coming out of the club about a 2018 return is to take the weight of expectation off Nic Nats shoulders.

I'd hate to be the guy making way for Nic Nat. Do the hard work all season and lose your spot
I dunno, surely you'd be used to it if you were someone like Giles. Not like we brought him in and told him he would be our first choice ruck, he'd know he's here solely as a backup and unless he's completely out of his gourd he'd know that he was making way for a better player.
