Magnificent..... He can become the air bud of surgery.

Why has Mutimer been named? I thought he was injured?
Are we taking an unecessary risk with this?
We usually give players under an injury cloud until the last minute to prove their fitness. We brought over 3 emergencies just in case him, Vardy or Duggan doesn't pass a final fitness test, but Mutimer was the most in the clear.

That Port game really underlined the extent these injuries have shafted our structures. Match winning talls, speed and youth (in Nelson and Duggan), defensive small forwards who can impact the scoreboard and the X factor of Rioli and Watson. Pretty much what's missing right there. If this team can just gut it in the short term, win ugly (and often enough) there a lot of up-side when the reinforcements arrive.

On the plus, we're learning how to play without Nic Nat / a competent ruckman. Compare with Melbourne who remind me of us in previous years, too reliant on their dominant ruckman.

I'm personally really looking forward to Nelson, Rioli and Watson returning from injury, they definitely offer something different for us.

Hi.

Any news on Watson? Is he still injured?

Officially out indefinitely with his ankle.

Unofficially out another 2-4 weeks according to the original estimate by afl.com.au, wherever they got that from.

I'm still 5 weeks out with my wrist
