Injury Injury thread 2017

NN looks in far better condition than when he returned last season, was far too heavy which is half the reason his knee went I reckon.

Venables situation seems a bit odd. He looks to be training and they said he is going ok now so what is the issue that is causing him another few weeks out?

It's probably fitness not related directly to an injury.

This. He had to stop running for 2-3 weeks. The fact he had no pre-season to begin with he has had to get his fitness back for a second time.. So with only 5 weeks left that might not be enough time to get him up to scratch. Put a fork in him and get him ready for next year.

You would think he would have enough just to get some reserves time

Lycett has had a setback needs another operation on the shoulder to get him ready for the pre season .
Horror news really for Lycett .
He would be pretty pissed off. This was the year for him to really show off his worth. He is ideally a number one ruck and plays better as a lead role.

The idiots who decided that he should play in the EF should be smacked across the face.

The knee bone isn't attached to the shoulder bone Vish, 2 different injuries

true dat.

But scott would most likely have had a full preseason and might have not done his shoulder playing ep ;)

If you're looking at it from that angle it's much worse.

He had also done the damage mid season but played through it. If we'd given him the time off when he did the initial injury... he would have had a full preseason and not done his shoulder in a WAFL match.

See Damien Barrett? That is a sliding door.

Butler out for the season after shoulder surgery, that'd almost suggest he wants to get a flying start at a pre-season but surely that's it for Butts.

Rotham Lamb Jetta and Tunbridge all "test". Venables down to 2-3 which might be the first time he's improved since June. No word on Giles who is presumed to be somewhere in the demilitarized zone on the Korean border.

I still dont understand why they haven't gone with season for Venables. Unless they plan on using him for a East Perth finals campaign.
