Venables situation seems a bit odd. He looks to be training and they said he is going ok now so what is the issue that is causing him another few weeks out?
It's probably fitness not related directly to an injury.

You would think he would have enough just to get some reserves timeThis. He had to stop running for 2-3 weeks. The fact he had no pre-season to begin with he has had to get his fitness back for a second time.. So with only 5 weeks left that might not be enough time to get him up to scratch. Put a fork in him and get him ready for next year.
He would be pretty pissed off. This was the year for him to really show off his worth. He is ideally a number one ruck and plays better as a lead role.Lycett has had a setback needs another operation on the shoulder to get him ready for the pre season .
Horror news really for Lycett .

The idiots who decided that he should play in the EF should be smacked across the face.
true dat.The knee bone isn't attached to the shoulder bone Vish, 2 different injuries

Think you could be on the money. Also thought he looked a bit heavy last year.NN looks in far better condition than when he returned last season, was far too heavy which is half the reason his knee went I reckon.
Why don't you say what you meanHe would be pretty pissed off. This was the year for him to really show off his worth. He is ideally a number one ruck and plays better as a lead role.

.If you're looking at it from that angle it's much worse. He would be pretty pissed off. This was the year for him to really show off his worth. He is ideally a number one ruck and plays better as a lead role.

That's what they said at one of the updates...plus not worth the risk given his injury laden seasonIt's probably fitness not related directly to an injury.
Was at the very end but he got cut off

I hope Lycett doesn't have the same shoulder issue that forced Adam Hunter to retire....?Did anyone else hear Hagdorn say this morning that Petrie might be staying on next year because of something to do with Lycett?
Not sure (and granted it is Hagdorn) but if they actually are asking Petrie to stay as cover for Lycett you'd have to think it's a fairly significant injuryI hope Lycett doesn't have the same shoulder issue that forced Adam Hunter to retire....?
