Injury Injury update 2017

Shame he's out of finals but as mentioned he hasn't had a great year. Very worrying for the rest of his career though. Thank * Clurey has stepped up and of late Doooogz

Yeah definitely agree that since 2014 these hip issues have really hampered him. He's lost a yard and lost agility and it's shown in his form. If we were heartless we'd trade him whilst he still has some trade value.

Kinda sad news. These injuries may end his AFL career.
The prognosis for a bit of floating bone in a hip joint is usually very good providing it has been caught before it does any damage to the cartilage. It can be treated with minimal invasive arthroscopic surgery. I can't think of any AFL players whose career has been ended by this.

Reads well but I will be absolutely amazed if Krak makes a full recovery from a hamstring injury in two weeks.
I reckon it would have to be a very minor strain for him to be available for the granny.

Such an amazing injury list, too bad having no injuries killed our season.

Ken needs to learn that the 'old faithful' have never been faithful to him.

Lol the first three are literally "delisting related tightness"

Broadbent having ankle surgery tomorrow according to Lee Gaskin on Twitter.

Was a shell of his former self after that injury, totally killed his season.
Expecting to see him in the SANFL a fair bit next season. Pittard, Houston, Hartlett, Bonner and Byrne-Jones all ahead of him.

On the 5AA interview with Ken, KH said that the surgery for Broadbent is more of an exploratory thing and to clean it out (i.e. a scope).

He's solid depth. If someone offered a middle of the road 2nd rounder you'd have to consider it.

Port Adelaide injury list as of Tuesday 19 September

Matt White – calf (assess)
Angus Monfries – calf (TBC)
Nathan Krakouer – hamstring (season)
Jack Hombsch – hip (season)
Billy Frampton – shoulder (season)

Broadbent - ankle (season) not included on the list.

So off season surgeries this year so far are Hombsch, Billy, and Broadbent? That's not too bad.

It's also probably not accurate.

Wines will definitely get work done on his knee, Wingard likely on his ankle. Dixon will probably have his usual ankle clean up too.
