Oh have mercy! 3 wins in a row... WHERE ART THOU?!?!?!?!?! How I miss thee... please come back!

Rounds 11-13 2004 to be precise, kicked off by 'that' Fev 50m goal from the boundary line in Adelaide for a great come from behind win inspiring wins against Hawthorn and Richmond in the next two weeks :thumbsu:

Long time between drinks...but how good would it be if a similarly inspirational come from behind win against Essendon Round 3 2008 inspires wins against Collingwood and Melbourne in two weeks that follow -certainly overdue!

The following week we host Adelaide at the G, another winnable game and would just have a sense of poetic justice about beating them to make it four in a row...am I getting carried away here?

Cant wait to see Fisher back, but im looking forward to having Hampson back. I think his jump and speed will be too much for King & Gardiner at the centre bounce contest, but he cant get caught in a wrestle with them around the ground because they will out body him.

Does anyone else see the giant shark circling with Ackland only 1 week away? I think he is really underdone though so should spend about 21 weeks in the Bullants.
All lighting and angles ODN.

He's actually a very small shark casting a big shadow. Spooks some who just look at the shadow, but to those who call the bluff...........well........:D:thumbsu:

I hope they aren't messing with me with the "test" listing. I would love to see Hampson, Fisher and Kreuzer line up this week.

I think we could really test them down back if we start Cloke in the ruck and Hampson in the goal square with Fev. Kreuzer around half forward, roaming the midfield, Fisher with licence to run wherever.:thumbsu:

Just have to keep winning the clearances.

Interesting, might head down on Friday, to check things out

Thanks for the update :thumbsu:

Yes he was out there but he only did sprints alond with some ruck work with the doctor watching him. I'd say he is another week away.
Cheers.
Sounds that way.:thumbsu:

WIth fish, hammo and kreuz all possibly back in the side, surely our chances against the saints have to be better than initial thought

We could use Southby, McKay, Sticks and Jezza up the spine but otherwise we're in with a shot.

Ease up on the big guy... It's a new year, he's as equal as every other guy out there.

Good call Eddie:thumbsu:

I hate Hackland as much as everybody else and know how useless and ineffective he can be at times, but seriously, considering the ruck stocks we have along with mature bodies, Hackland would be one of the rucks we should use at this point, especially going up against the Saints ruck stocks!!!

Yes Hampson is amazing and shows so much promise, but he is still new at this game and really hasn't got the body quite there yet to match up against King and Gardiner, he will however leap over them guys, but knowing how sooky the Saints are, they will probably use a "ram" style ruck against the guy, Cloke has the body but lacks the height.

So weighing all this up, unfortunatly, Hackland is our best bet with Hampson as his back-up (depending on form, if Hampson is in better form than Hackland, then Hampson to be 1st Ruckman).

I'm willing to give Hackland a few more games this year and see if he can show alot of improvement.

Yet Cloke beat Simmonds in the first half and squared the second with him.
Up until Cloke injured his shoulder last year he was the form player at our club along with Stevo, and one of the form rucks in the comp.
Why don't we look at ability rather than height and judge the ruck from that.:thumbsu:
Hampson and Cloke will make a good duo, Setanta to FB.......our spine looks so much better already.

King and Gardiner are a different kettle of fish compared to Simmonds. 2 AA Ruckmen IIRC. I agree Cloke is a great ruckman, but I honestly believe his height will disadvantage him against those 2.

It's worth a shot giving Hackland a go against the Saints for atleast a quater! If fit.

That was some time ago.

So you think the 1 cm that Ackland has over Cloke will do..........what exactly?

With Cloke's heart, even if Ackland was listed at 200cm I wouldn't play him. Make him earn it through the two's.

Hampson is the man. Will add a couple of big scalps to his belt this week.;)
