I could be wrong, but I think so.So you're telling me Blackmores sponsor the Blackmores injury report?
yeah I think with Greenwood his injury was more structural and once it's healed I suspect there would be no issue of reoccurring. so as long as his fit and has touch he would come in ( who for is the dilemma ) and Reid given his issues are soft tissue I think that he needs at least 4 weeks in the secondsThe shame about Greenwood and Reid is I believe the VFL has another bye in 2 weeks? You'd think both Greenwood and Reid would need more than 2 or 3 VFL hit outs respectively. Greenwood potentially not as he has been able to get a big body of work in the last couple of weeks and similarly hasn't had the issues Reid has had throughout his career and also as a midfielder someone you could throw the green vest too not that I would advocate for that. You would think the club would want a big body of work in Reid though, and Reid for his mental case may need the same. I still wouldn't be expecting Reid to play AFL for at least another 5 weeks.
Assuming that Oxley, Moore & Greenwood play, is this our shortest injury list since Bucks took over?[/QUOTE
I would say yes, but let's not jinx it!!
You would think Ried and Greenwood will be given the next couple of games at VFL level with the idea of being ready to go after the bye

The departure of Malthouse from AFL coaching has lifted the 'curse'...Assuming that Oxley, Moore & Greenwood play, is this our shortest injury list since Bucks took over?
Brent Macaffer is recovering from his recent surgery and regarded as medium term. It will be nice to see him back eventually, but in all honesty, the senior team isn't missing his presence, and he may struggle to find a role for himself when he returns. Time will tell.
Ramsay
A "stress reaction" most likely means he has bone bruising or similar rather than just a cork. Hopefully not as bad as stress fractures... but it's a deliberately vague term.

I think when they give a vague description is either due to the docs not really knowing what it is (shock horror, yes it happens) or it's just too complicated for the average punter to understand (eg a auto immune response or something).
Far too much notice is taken on this board about every little word the Club says about injuries. You've also got to remember that the players are also allowed some privacy as to the exact nature of their medical situation. In no other workplace would an employer be talking publicly about their regular employees' medical status.

Hooray! That timing works pretty well, IMO. Should they get through unscathed (touch wood) it gives them 3 weeks at VFL level before a return against Fremantle in Perth![]()

I'd be more surprised if it doesn't take him quite a while, and hopefully the performance of players like Crisp make it just that little bit harder to him to prove himself. But he's a hard-at-it type of footballer, so I'm sure he'll barge his way into the team sooner rather than later. Just feels good to have another solid player running around for us.I wouldn't be surprised if it actually takes him a while to hit his straps.
Good point...here I was thinking it was all because of Blackmores. The departure of Malthouse from AFL coaching has lifted the 'curse'...
My sources suggest Eade agreed to terms requiring minimum numbers on the injury list as part of sponsorship with Blackmores. As part of his retirement planning when moving to GC Suns he's taken it to the next level and gets kickbacks from Optomo for extra players on the list. He's getting so rich he doesn't need to worry about coaching.Good point...here I was thinking it was all because of Blackmores.

I'd like to see us keep Reid out til probably just after the PA game personally, just think he needs the time. Greenwood will definitely be handy though![]()
Going to be exciting seeing Greenwood finally step out for us. Hopefully the Freo game, if not then back against Hawthorn.
Any reason you want Reid held back? Personally if he gets through the next 2 VFL games then I'd be getting him in the side against Freo. Could be huge if he finds his best form in the second half of the season.
