Are Hart and Goodwin playing in the SANFL this weekend?
Hart is given an extra week as a precoutionary measure and Goody is still a week away.

I think the selections tonight further indicate that AFC is determined to play youngsters.

I would have thought Stevens would be in but having said that Bock is a bit more verstile in that he can take on a tall and a medium and can play both ends.

Dogga's injury is a bit of a blow but Ladhams should be a good replacement. I just hope he is given a fair chance. I am a bit surprised that Bode held his spot.

Who gets Lloyd?????? Bassett or Hentschel??????

According to Ch 10 Clarke, Welsh and Doughty were quarantined today as they are suffering from flu. They should be right to play tommorrow.

Agree that surprising that Stevo didn't come in for Bock. No problems with the other changes, including making Biglands earn his spot back.

Would give the Hound 1st crack at Lloyd. Just hope Sarge isn't given the job!

Am I the only one that thinks its good to see Ladhams back in the side? I still think when he is fit and in form he is in our best 22. He is a player that is very dangerous around goals and is good ball winning midfielder.

Now you can tell me that I've lost the plot ;)

Sarge?? Lloyd?? That really is the pauper and the Prince, isn't it.

That won't happen unless we want Lloyd to kick 25 goals - by half time!!

Bassett would be a certainty to start on him IMO.

Who will Hentschel line up on??

Not at all on both accounts Stiffy. You know I really rate Ladhams as a midfielder as he is a great user of the ball.

My sources tell me Bassinet will play on Lloyd, have a tantrum when Lloyd takes a mark and throw his mouthguard on the ground.

My sources further tell me Potential will play on Bolton and it will be a game of 'keepies-off' where they try to run off each other at each opportunity.

My sources also suggest that Begley will play on Rioli, shut the fat tub utterly out of the game, but make one flub of a kick that will result in condemnation of his whole game from this board.

My source finally suggests Massie will take on Cupido, during which Massie will fall over and Cupido will have a tantrum and sit on his head.

Hentschel should take the 3rd Essendon tall, so that could depend on how Sheeds structures his forward line. ie. Happy for him to play on Bolton or Lovett-Murray. Could be an interesting challenge for him to play on Hird if he pushes forward, which would allow us to keep Stinger on the ball.

This will be a fair challenge for Ladhams, because Doughty has really given us something in his last couple with a newly found hard running approach at the ball.

Having said that, the Ladhams of 2002 would be a welcome addition to the side, for the reasons you've given.

Also, reckon Ladhams would appreciate a recall against the AFL team he was 1st associated with...

Bassett would be the obvious choice for Lloyd. I reckon Hentschel would line up on Lovett Murray. Sarge will probably get Lucas and Begley will probably get Cupido. McPhee has been in sensational form lately and will have to be negated. I reckn Mattner will get him. Stenglein should get Hird.

In all seriousness I rate Ladhams as better player than Doughty and more versatile. Ladhams is one of the best kicks in the side and as a result hardly ever wasted a possesion. I was hoping that this year he would get to be a regular member of our midfield as he can find the footy and use it well. All the best to Lads and I hope he keeps his spot in the side for the rest of the year.

Ladhams of late 2002 and from 2003 Wizard Cup is one very very good player. Lets hope he can continue his form that he has shown with North Adelaide.

I beg to differ...
Where did I say that he wasn't a good user of the ball??????

Both are good users of the ball and both are good kicks. Personally I think Ladhams is a bit more accutate kick than Doughty. But each to their own.

Its really good to see Ladhams back in the side. He should never have fallen out of favour, especially last year. Lets also hope he doesnt get injured again.

Sturt have the bye this weekend. So which SANFL reserves team does Reilly line up in?
Can't see that he will be back with the crows this year again and it wont be his breakout year now like some had thought. Too late. He doesnt even make the emergencies..

And its not like the reserves is going to be challenging for him

Don't worry, Radar. He'll be back.

It should have and would have been his breakout year if not for injury.

Fate has dealt him a pretty lousy hand so far. He's due for a ood run soon, and I reckon he'll never look back then.

Its got nothing to do with challenge and everything to do with match fitness. He will line up for the reserves that are at the bottom of the ladder.

Nah, sorry, I think the bad luck will continue throughout his career. He's already been injured four times this year. And last year he was injured twice, once 'longterm'.

How many times have we/someone said :

'If it wasnt for <insert injury>, Reilly would have done well in that game/played for the crows this round.'

And in no way will he get a rising star nomination this year. And thats cruel for a youngster who has fair talent.

It will probably take 4- 5 weeks before he gets another game for the crows, and even then it may well be as an emergency. My bet is he will be in the double blues guernsey for the rest of the year.

So dissapointing really. Was looking foward to a great year but that will never happen any year if he keeps getting injured. And he will. :(
