In: Presti, Burns
Out: O'Brien, Caracella

Couldn't drop O'Brien on yesterdays performance.

Caracella is playing a different role this year. Wouldn't have been in our forward 50m more than five times. Seems to be the target with the second kick from defence instead of a crumbing forward.

Interesting to see if Malthouse bloods a rookie on Anzac Day as he and Sheedy often do. David Schwarze on White Line Fever reckons Pendlebury is going to be a superstar and his performances for Willi over the past two weeks might see him in the line up this week.

Theres nothing i'd love more than to see Pendlebury play this week but seriously who could we drop.
Licca is to good to be dropped imo he will most likley play a ripper this week.
Burns needs to come in to i can see him playing a great game but nobody to drop and presti would usally be a auto selection but now we can cover for him in a way its fantastic but i'd still like to see pendlebury because from all reports he seems to be the real deal.

Difficult to drop anyone on todays performances. Wakelin OUT for Presti. Licuria's looks like he is running on a treadmill. Can't drop O'Brien after todays performance, he was very very good. Burns for Licuria?

Cam Cloke for Guy Richards? At least Cloke can kick some goals up forward, Richards doesn't look like getting near the footy.

not sure if you watched the same game but Richards ruckwork was the catalyst for our midfield dominance.
Not a chance in hell he will be dropped for c cloke

wakelin out - presti in
cara out -burns in

Although I would not be dissapointed if there was no change

I would love to see pendlebury play this week, we always debut someone on anzac day so it must be him this year?

I would like to see:

In - burns, pendlebury

out - Licuria and obrien

It will more likely be

In - burns
out - obrien

Licuria looks useless lately and a shadow of his former self

The only change I can see is Burns for Caracella in my book.

Heater is just a great player at the moment who works on his game each week, and wasted at the magoos. Licuria is under threat, but it won't happen.

Harry will most likely stay in unless they want Presti to play. He was good enough to keep his spot, but the change to make way for Presti i think.

IMO - NO CHANGE.

For me, why change a winning side? our whole problem last year was that the side kept changing because of injuries, form and so we didnt have consistency, now that we have are getting consistency I don't really want to see a change. I'd love to see burns, pendle play but the question is do they need to play?

As for licuria, he is still finding form, is an experience player, he had a similar start in 2004 but found form when it counted and he will get back to his best. He definitly wont get confidence being dropped from the team and playing in the 2s and i cant see mick dropping him anyway. Richards, he did a few good things around the ground early on, brilliant ruck work, why drop him? especially when we are starting to see the consistency of josh and guy that we saw in 2004. H Shaw and Obrien had good games yesterday so I dont know why anyone would want to drop them after yesterday, they did what was asked of them which was great, and enjoyed watching shaw and obrien play.

Look if the team performs below expectations next week then we can call for changes, but atm with consistency and a winning side there should be no changes or only a couple at the max due to match ups.

Presti not required. We have Travis Cloke if we really need another tall down back. So we'll give Prestigiacomo another week to recover from his mystery injury (crabs perhaps?).

O'Brien was pretty good against Cory Jones IMO. Jones was forced to get a lot of loose ball up the ground and his creativity out of defence really helped us. His late spoils on Jones were great.

Lockyer I would like to drop but he is having great impact off the bench.

Richards? No chance, brilliant rucking in the 3rd quarter.

Heater Shaw would be very stiff. Not the best game but offers great hardness, run and even skill. Now and again stuffs up but he will iron out his flaws in time. The only problem is whether there is a spot for him. And I think there is, Essendon have a few small forward options in Lovett, Lovett-Murray, Monfries etc. He will be needed to take one of these, as will O'Brien.

Lonie has an injury worry but Clement seems fine. A bit of a shame for Lonie if he is to miss, he has been a transformed player so far this season.

Licuria out? No. He is still a big contributor, it's just that he has become second string to the likes of Swan, Lonie, Johnson and even O'Bree who have all stepped up. Licuria is one who revels on these games and could be due for a blinder.

Holland is much like Licuria, except probably in slightly better form. Is trying to become a pure tagger again.

Travis Cloke is probably the most likely to be dropped if Presti is to play. TC, as with many youngsters is struggling for consistancy in his 2nd year. However he is still dangerous, does the 1%ers when it's not going his way and takes a key defender.

I still think we want Burns in the team. O'Brien or Heater can come out for Burns and Buckley would probably have to play back.

I think Travis Cloke is playing well, especially early, he always had great starts to the game last season he would start well but drift out of it later on. This season he simply hasn't had his leads honoured with passes, because our midfielders have become Rocca and Tarrent conscious. Numerous times in the first and second quarter against the Kangas he made very good leads in the 50 but we chose to kick to the contest with Rocca or Tarrent. Also the fact that he does look very good playing CHB, plus is very good with his defensive pressure particularly in the forward 50. It isn't his fault the mids aren't giving him the ball where they were last season.

Burns though hasn't performed at Willi, so why should he be bought in? But the again, J-Clo performed at Willi last year and wasn't given his stripes, so Burns will probably play and we change that winning side.

There is no way that we can drop harry o'brien
I thought he did everything right against the roos. It's guys like him we have to keep playing as he shows great potential and is a great story.
There should be a spot for Burns who should replace Heath Shaw.
Shaw needs a few more solid games in the vfl

Out Licuria (hamstring)
In Burns

Lica has obviously been carrying a hammy because he can't kick a football. And he got treatment on it repeatedly on the pine. Better being safe than sorry, especially with Licuria.
This I agree with. Also seems to be a growing swell for Pendlebury , is he coming along okay?

while some of us might want licuria to go down to the 2s for someone else to get into the team and get some form there, i really cant see it happening, malthouse has made it clear he wont go

i still think we really shouldnt change the side at all, despite me wanting to see burns and new kid pendles play as well as rhyce shaw, but really no one i the team really needs to be drop. should be wary about changing a winning side.

Bummers are strong through the midfield, we will need the extra strength and footy smarts that Burns has. Tough on shaw i know, but we do want to give ourselves the best possible chance of winning.

Maybe C Cloke in for T Cloke, but why change a winning side too much. Sorry Burnsy, I think you'll have to spend another week in the twos.

Its really hard finding anybody to drop. If anybody is under the pump, its probably Licuria. If Pendlebury continues his VFL form, then then Licuria could soon find himself playing VFL with Burns (and maybe Wakelin too) . And that will be a good thing because it means we are devloping depth.

rest presti or wakes again, they dont need to play considering lloyd is injured and Hille is supended(i think).

i totally agree with droping c3 for c2, but i also think that he may have a good game against bradley so they may leave him in.

Burns for lica if still not 100%

if not then Burns for caracella(he does not deserve his spot)

next in line in case of injury: Pendelbury, Davies, J clo

Exactly. Form's been good. Didnt see much action on the weekend because he was playing back and the ball never came down his end.

Burns should only come in if Licuria is injured. Droppong Caracella or Heath Shaw woudl be unfair.

B LOCKYER PRESTI CLEMENT
HB LONIE WAKELLIN OBRIEN
C SWAN LICURIA HOLLAND
HF TARRANT CLOKE BUCKLEY
F DIDAK ROCCA CARACELLA
FOLL FRASER OBREE JOHNSON
INTER DAVIS BURNS THOMAS RICHARDS
IN-BURNS
OUT H SHAW -VERY UNLUCKY

in - Burns
out - Licuria

If Lica's hamstring is contributing to his form - then sit him out for a week or two and get it right. Irrespective of the 1%ers he performs he is not playing well enough to keep a player like Scott Burns out of the 22.

Depending on who Essendon bring in to replace Lloyd will determine further changes.

carn the pies.i think i would prefer to beat essendon now than carlton.that was unthinkable years ago.Actually i hate them both the same. what time does the cricketers and the royal open,is it at 12.00 because of anzac day
