How refreshing for a change we don't have us fans baying for the blood of half the team.

For mine:
IN: Foley, Goo
Out: Moore (if inj), White/Tambling

Can't drop Griff, he needs some continous games in him, no use bringing him in one week then dropping him the next all the time.

oh and finally while i want us to put as many games as possible into him i reckon astbury like vickery before him is just not getting much of the ball if this continues it cant be good for confidence or touch let him go back to coburg for a short stint to get a bit of the ball.
I thought Astbury played one of his better games yesterday, apart from the terrible spoiling of Newman that lead to a goal. He was fairly solid in defence and looked as if he was gaining a lot of confidence. I liked him there.

OUTS:

Riewoldt: Not working hard enough defensively
Deledio: Needs some confidence in the magoos
Martin: Doesn't earn his own ball
Cotchin: VFL standard player

INS:
Roberts
Polak
Dea
Rance
Yes, we can't afford to win this one if want pick 4/PP. Big worry, Brisbane are injury riddled and nearly half their team is out.

I thought they scrapped the PP now the new franchises are drafting (wouldnt want a real club to get a good player)?
I wish they would scrap it, and WOULD HAPPILY GIVE UP ANYONE WE HAVE GOT AS A RESULT to do away with the PP abomination.

Going to be some...interesting INS/OUTS if we are really tanking for a PP, we are a good chance v Bris, have a pretty good record against tem and theyve never been worse, yet to play NthM also pretty solid record against them, and Melb again, and PtAdelaide I think r22

I got a bit worried late in the game when Martin went down. Don't know what happened there, no one around him except a West Coast player? Maybe got a jab in the guts.
I actually watched that, he and Scott Selwood (I think) run into each other in the centre circle off the play. They were both watching the ball, so nothing untoward in it, but I think Dusty might have copped one in the crown jewels.

Thurst is a shoe in to be in the 22 next week. Apart from that, Webberley or Nahas might get a gig, if the team balance warrants it. ;)
We don't lose much with Thursty coming in for Moore, they have both touched up Fev in previous games.

Yes, we CAN afford to win this one if we want to hand the spoon over to Adelaide or West Coast! In actual fact, I hope we win as may games as possible in 2010, as do most Tiger supporters.

Foley for Tambling, Post for Moore (if injured). Brisbane have no Brown, so i reckon we could give Post or Astbury a go at CHB. Tambling could be covered by one of the existing runners we have in the squad at the mo. Minimal change is required for mine.

I do want Foley in the team - so whichever of White, Tambling, Farmer or King is not required for match-ups or team balance may miss out. Polo played very well last week - he is bigger than King or Farmer, so he could get a gig.

Obviously ThuRsfield comes in if Moore is out (and maybe if he's not) - we need Plan A, B and C against Fev - shut him down and we are 80% towards winning the game (and if Brissy shut down Riewoldt, they are 80%).

foley and webberley in, farmer and ? out
i reckon farmer and the whole team did enough for automatic selection - barring injury leave the team.

i know farmer had that bad kick/ turnover across the backline ...usually one of mcguane's tricks... but i'd pick farmer again for that big bomb goal -thats what i want to see our midfield and backs doing more of.

As much as I have criticised these players in the past (white/King/Edwards) all 3 played great games on the weekend. King has been excellent the last 3 games and no way deserves to be dropped. Edwards must have made 5 smothers at least on Sunday and was impressive in getting through traffic, I thought Sunday was his best game, and White has slowly improved since the Hawthron game when he took on Brown in the last 5 minutes and is turning into a very handy player.

We all craved for years some development in players like this and now we are seeing it, we can't be dropping them willy-nilly when they are finally starting to show us what they can do.

Also, Astbury played a good defensive game and should not be dropped either. He just looks at home at this level after about 8 games.

Only changes for me would be if guys don't come up, i.e. tambling & Moore.

for this round:

Coleman leader
IN - Reiweoldt, J
OUT Fevola, B

after the round...no change!

As always ins a midfield battle and we have the upper hand just I think -
could be the 1st time Jumping Jack gets trippled where as Fev is used to it from Carlton days

- the biggest warning sign was v StK where we only had 2 scorers - need to create and spot up opportune avenues if Jack is being given extra attention.

Would really like Nahas in to add a bit of danger to our forward line, even if Jack doesnt get a kick. Even Kingy, Taylor, Polly - pace to find space. Wld be good to see Griff get a good run and a few 6 pointers. Its a shame MM seems out of forrm and favour - another proven avenue would be nice to take up there.

What r we going to do about Fev? pls not the skittles (McG, Thursty)- someone with a bit of bulk - hell even Polly or Post I reckon if Moore is out

If Foley is fit he should get a game, he's one of our 5 best players.

Polo looked the best of the guys I saw playing for Coburg. Would definitely have him ahead of Webberley based on form. Nahas looked ok too. But they might both be stiff this week as few deserve to be dropped.

If Moore is injured then surely we have to bring in a tall as a plan b on Fevola. For me that has to be Thursfield, with Gourdis a possibility.

If someone has to make way for Foley then maybe Farmer. Tambling is a candidate but I think we are pumping games into him to try to get his head right. He seems to be the 'mopping up' player in the backline for the moment. I can live with that for now.

We could do a straight swap, Foley for Moore, but that may leave us undersized if Fev has a big one.

Yes I know he was ultra attacking, but I don't agree he set up him really clever plays. I thought he set up nothing. It was a running gag with the people I was watching it with how many hospital balls he put to team mates today. Look I'm only talking about this as a necessity, who else are we gonna drop. I can't bring myself to suggest anyone else after today's game. If we're willing to go one shorty for a tally then Griff will come out, but I'm not convinced Dimma would do that.
Give up, Edwards was good, your fighting a lost cause.

for me white king mcguane and tambling all in the gun. the first 3 continue to murder the ball make poor decisions even though they give 110%. tambling well i reckon he has to be hardwicks pet .

Watch the game then make a decision. White King and McGuane played great. You did guess one out of the four in Tambling, he could be at risk

Nah but have a watch the game was good :thumbsu: Notice The players you mention play well.

Lol, and McGuane (3) and King (1) got coaches votes.

Some here just have it in for certain players week in week out regardless of how well they played.

Webberly clearly seemed a class above coburg I dont fully understand how he was dropped to begin but surely tambling will make way for him. Other than that I would say farmer could make way for polo and moore for gourdis.

OUT: Tambling, Farmer, Moore (inj)
IN: Webberly, Polo, Gourdis
