Lol, and McGuane (3) and King (1) got coaches votes.

Some here just have it in for certain players week in week out regardless of how well they played.
It seems that if you have an average patch/season it sticks with you for life. Since King has come back in he has played well, but every week there are calls to drop him :p

Some will never learn.

Jeez, while McGuane wasn't near our worst (Moore and Tambling IMO were the worst on ground for us) I don't think he was close to our 3rd best player. Could list Embley in front of him as he was the one stopping their key forwards from kicking the goals. Cotchin, Martin, Tuck, Riewoldt (obviously), Deledio all well ahead of McGuane on the day.

:confused:ADD Matthew White to that list.
Playing some damn good football right now, yet within 10 seconds of him making an error someone's on here calling for him to be axed for the next game.
Foolishness!!!

Forecast just in for Saturday is showers and possible rain. For the non weather buffs out there rain means constant falling rain, sometimes heavy.
With that in mind, I would rest Griff and bring in Nahas.

I'm gonna be up in Noosa for the weekend... Anyone know if there is a bus to the Gabba from the Sunshine Coast, or what parking is like at the Gabba???

Webberley & Foley in for who ever is injured or a couple of players have been pretty good of late but still have some disposal issues to improve on. Tambling not showing enough, needs a kick in the butt so hopefully he realizes his career is on the line(the clock is ticking).Thursfield/Gourdis for Moore if injured. Must keep King in and get him to stir up Fev on the odd occasion to frustrate him. Go T I G E R S.

Would love to see Foley back, but got a feeling they won't risk him and will wait until after the break. Can't wait to see him running around with our current midfield at full fitness :thumbsu:

Where's the mention of rain come from? Latest forecast Saturday - Fine Min 12 Max 21

Edwards was pretty ordinary with his disposal today, lots of hospital balls. I'd get rid of him and bring in Foley.
You have NFI sometimes. Edwards was superb.
Todays HUN had a "5 of the best" article and it was interesting Edwards leads the competition with 16 smothers. Things like that tend to go un noticed here.

Also i wouldnt drop Griff. All eyes will be on Jack big time this weekend, so this could be a good time for Griff to take advantage.

I thought they scrapped the PP now the new franchises are drafting (wouldnt want a real club to get a good player)?
I wish they would scrap it, and WOULD HAPPILY GIVE UP ANYONE WE HAVE GOT AS A RESULT to do away with the PP abomination.
I don't know about you, but personally I would rather keep Deledio thanks

Absolutely...

Assuming the weather is not horrible, we must maintain an alternative target to Jack & Griffiths is fine with me. Looks likely to grab a handful of marks and kick a couple or three.

Riewoldt will probably be swamped from the opening bounce and I will spew if we simply assume he will continue to dominate... it just can't happen every week and going small unless it's gonna be a swamp is not on.

I know it goes hand-in-hand with how the team is performing all over the park but it's no coincidence that our better performances over the past 5 weeks have coincided with better returns from our front half and of course Jacks freak output.

We gotta be able to convert forward thrusts at a reasonable clip to provide and maintain scoreboard pressure.

Could be an excellent indication as to how disciplined we are under Dimma. Do we just keep going to Jack, or under pressure can we seek alternative options and totally catch the Lions of guard. Even if it is wet, the gabba is very firm and has excellent drainage. Astbury also might be the one to have a good game and take advantage.

Dimma's report is out on the club website (for those that know where to find it!!!

Two things pertinent to this thread out of it - Edwards will be staying in - big wraps for his game, Griff will be staying in - Dimma wants to see four each from him and Jack!!!!

Also said that the caoches were happiest with the backline performance they have been all year - believe it is beggining to function the way they want.

Big wraps for Jack and Dustin, positive reports for Cotch, Lids, Tuck, Newy and a couple of others.
