Settle down you two.
Ins: J Johnson
Out: Slattery (very poor last week)

Stick with the big laycock i reckon. We dont have a decent solution so weve just got to hope he comes good.

lol, ok, settled.
But I agree, Laycock must stay.

I don't see how you can drop Slattery after last week.

I'll agree that he's been ordinary this year, his performance against Geelong especially.

However, he was intrumental in our third quarter revival, and despite some sloppy early tackles, played pretty solidly throughout.

The only one I'd drop is Monfries, but he's more suited to the small forward role than anyone else that we can sacrifice from the midfield, and as such should stay.

Jason Johnson, David Myers and Courtney Johns all have claims, but I'll what and see if they get picked.

Is Pears on borrowed time until someone returns, or should be in the team for most of the season? Looked good last week.

He'll get his extended taste as Knights promised to all the young guys that come into the side.

I'd say an extended taste probably constitutes 4-6 weeks in the side.

Depending on how he performs, he could be in the side a lot longer.

Go and watch the game again.

Just announced that Courtney Johns is a definate inclusion this week by Matthew Knights. Not sure yet who is out.

Merv won't be happy with that news. :D

Myers may have to wait his turn.....

hmmmmmmmm Knights options with CJ;

* Drop Laycock, put Ryder in the ruck and play CJ down back

* Push Ryder forward, CJ in defence

* CJ to play alongside Lloydy

I wouldn't mind seeing The Dustbin starting a game up forward, but he is just so crucial and valuable to our defence.

Interesting.....

Johns will play forward is my understanding from listening to the press conference... Expect Johns to be the only in. Pears and Reimers were mentioned as players who the experience of this game will do great things for them so they won't be ommitted.

If CJ plays a good game, will you suck it up?

I must admit it is a big IF, but you never know. Given Lloyds strugling he might just surprise us.

And thos calling for Slatts head, I ain't no fan but sheesh - some guys on our list no matter what they do - it is always- we have to drop them.

Can you put aside your personal biases when trying to comment on these things - because it is just lame otherwsie.

Dont hold your breathe mate, its more thana big IF.

I'll eat my hat if Johns plays well.

If he plays a good game i will give him credit where it is due.

I have been a critic of McPhee in the past yet have given him credit this year when he has earned it and criticized when he hasn't.

Credit where it's due.

What's he got to do to play well?

Kick 2-3 goals or hold Rocca to a couple?

I reckon he's odds on to play well.

Think you answered my question Longy. Hold his opponent defensively to a modest total or for once have an impact up forward.

Cant see him doing anything up forward, defensively though will be interesting but Mal, Fletcher, Ryder and Johns in the same backline?

they wont all be in the same backline... it would ruin our run out of defence
if johns plays defence, ryder will either go forward or be in the ruck

i would say the outs would be either laycock NLM or monfries..

Ryder would play forward and ruck if Johns plays back but I'm tipping Paddy will go to Cloke.

Johns kicked four the last time he played Collingwood.
I know he played on Jason Cloke, but really, I don't think Goldsack is a whole lot better.

I wouldn't keep the bloke on our list beyond this year, but he's there and I think he can play a role when we need a temporary fix.

Actually he kicked 3 that night.

Last time he played against Collingwood, he kicked 2 goals. (Anzac Day 07)
