As much as I love The Mongrel Punt, they are overrating us a fair bit with their recent articles IMO.

Hutchings is nowhere near as good a tagger as Jacobs, for example. He’s done a handful of good jobs, but others have been doing it consistently for much longer. And Yeo is still not the superstar he could be.

Still, not gonna complain about some positive media that is actually well researched

Yep, think they went a bit over the top regarding Hutch.

Some good numbers for Hickey though.

Hutch does a good job running with players but he isn't a scragging s******t of a bloke as he goes about it. That in itself is worthy of plaudits.

Maybe I’m just influenced by his quiet finals - I’ve rewatched them so many times it’s all I can judge the players on

Assuming you mean the prelim and GF because you surely can't be referring to his BOG effort against the Pies in week 1?

Let's give the back2back JW medallist a little more opportunity to work through a tag. The kid was a plug the holes utility / HBF until recently. His trajectory is better than anyone's.

Oh no doubt. He’s potentially a superstar, and he’s currently a very good player, but I don’t think he’s elite - yet.

I couldn’t disagree with you more.

2x BnF, 1x AA at 25 after being thrown around all over the place is elite.

And those pludits don’t do how damaging he is justice.

Yeo is a Gun.

Cheers for that Djmac. Enjoyed it.
As a sidenote, if you want to see a midfield handball genius, check out Greg Williams highlights.
A lot of similarities to Kerr in playing, though Kerr a lot quicker and had a vertical leap.
Williams one of the all time greats IMHO...and, oh, that handball. Dual sided as well.
Love Kerr as a player & hope his post playing life stays on track.
Daniel also shares something with Mark Waugh..not the best sportsperson in his family.:)

It's funny that Yeo is a back to back JW Medalist and many people wouldn't have him in our top 5 players. The top end of our team is very strong.
Adam Selwood almost won a JW medal.

Yeo is probably the player most likely to singlehandedly win a game for us. But as a mid, I wouldn’t call him elite just yet. Just lacks a bit of consistency at this stage and hasn’t shown he can handle a tag at all.

Yeoy handles the tag beautifully. Just leans over and says "Hey Boots, hold this for me will ya mate?"
