Enough said...

We didn't have the passion.

No hard chasing/tackling and no supporting team mates.

1 good week, one bad week is not good enough.

But were a young team, so the future is looking bright.

That effort was WEAK though.

justin murphy went back down to his usual scared self
To be fair he was played in the backline when he's clearly not a backman. Surely the brainstrust masquerading (sp) as the Essendon coaching staff must accept some responsibility for playing Murphy and Stanton in the backline. Further, some efforts weren't Murphs fault, such as when it was clearly his mark and Hird decided he'd come in a spoil Murph. And Laycock, don't get me started, but perhaps he might start looking at the ball in the future and Peverill should be dropped, he's become a receiver and is no longer the hard nosed tahher he used to be.

I guess the story of the game can be summed up with the tackle count. 52-19 . North had 18 players out there willing to do the 1 percenters all night and we had less than 5 .
We simply have too many patch's where we play dumb/lazy footy.

Our weaknesses were ruthlessly exposed.

We'll by lucky to get out of the bottom 4 now.
LOL, man i tell you what, things have changed around essendon in the space of a week. All year we were going on about how we would finish bottom 4 and we don't care, then we beat the Saints and some people are talking finals!!

7 days later, it goes from finals chance to bottom 4 chance. I always knew after tha hawks game that the season was over, we didn't look like the competive team of last season. Anyway, I say we just sit back and enjoy the developemnt of our players and if we get a win, all the better.

Yeah you're right. I find it very difficult sitting back though. I'd just about got over us not making the finals and then we go and beat the Saints and i start thinking we're a chance again. I'm pretty sure the Roos have extinguished all my hope now, but i still want us to be more competitive and knock off a few, mainly Richmond, Collingwood and especially Carlton!
