Intelligent Design or Evolution?

ID does not provide a reasonable answer to you. It does to others. Where is this evidence of yours? It is only unproven theory! Your willing to believe it's proof because you don't agree with the other side of the argument.

YEAH! Like Gravity!

YEAH! Like Gravity!

Gravity !!!!!!

You mean the thing we still know nothing about?

The thing the greatest scientist of all time went to his grave trying to work out what it was?

The thing that we now believe might be linked to invisible energy and invisible matter?

Ahhhh ok then. Gravity proves it all. :p

On the point of 'who created the creator'...

The idea of creator and created ONLY WORKS if you assume the creator CREATED the laws that govern the universe. It only works if you assume the CREATOR is outside these rules (because they created them) and therefore do not NEED a creator...

Now this argument, in itself, does not disprove the 'big bang'. Regardless of which stance you take(creator or no creator), somewhere, in some time, something was created out of nothing. Something 'broke the rules' and 'just appeared'. Now some choose to believe the world 'just appeared' (either by big bang or some other theory) with its inherent rules and ways. Some people believe 'the creator' just existed and then CREATED the rules governing the universe and everything in it.

I myself admittedly believe in a 'creator'. In fact I myself believe that creator is the Christian God. I do not, however, necessarily agree with everything I.D. asserts OR disagree with Evolution. It is, IMO, entirely feasible that God uses evolution.

There is a lot we don't know about how gravity works but what we do know has enabled us to land vehicles on many planets, place satelites in orbit and discover planets in distant star systems.

But as it's just an unproven theory so I guess it's worthless...

I think he was drawing the parrellel between gravity and other unseen forces.

With gravity, we feel its effects first hand, we are certain it is there - but we have never seen any actual evidence of it. Some people feel the same way about a soul.

We have no idea what it is or how it works. Fighting it to get to our mini-me infant in Titon, doesn't mean squat Sinbad.

:p

It must be invisable people pushing us down.

p.s. you fail at understanding what goes into calculations of interplanetary journeys.

Are you certain?

Why?

What a suprise.

There is far more than fighting gravity.

Everything is moving and has it's own gravitational pull relative to it's mass. You need to have a good estimate of a bodies mass to determine it's gravity otherwise you will come in too fast or too slow.

Using the theory of gravity you can also plot orbits of the targetor of potential threats.

I seriously can't belioeve I am explaining high school science to someone who claimed to be a scientist...

Do you keep mentioning the term, 'High School Science' so as to justify your very simplistic understanding of the topics you are trying to sound knowledgeable in ...

btw you are not explaining anything to me. You are simply giving me a laugh.

Lol, I'll admit I have a laymans knowlegde of space travel but I had to explain even that to you. I mention 'High School Science' because that is where I learnt this stuff, year 9 physics. The fact that you don't know it is astounding and goes a long way to explaining why you believe in ID.

I'm glad I'm giving you a laugh, it's good to repay you for what you're doing for the rest of us.

I have quite a thorough knowledge of Physics and especially Cosmology.

You are explaining nothing to me Nick.

But you are cute anyway.

By the way in year 9 Physics I was mostly at my friends across the road from the school, smoking joints and banging the English co-ordinator's daughter who was two years above me.

Not surprising with the drugs and non-attendance that you need it re-explained.

Oh this her?
