I'm of Chinese heritage and my girlfriend is caucasian and we have no problems....but then again, we live in that funky cultural melting pop called Melbourne.

I have to say that i have no problem with interacial relationships cos my sister used to have an asian boyfriend. I didn't think it was weird or anything, it just the way of the 21st Century. You can be with whoever you want to be - black, white, asian, hispanic, animals, the same sex etc........Nobody really cares anymore. And for what it is worth, i reckon some black chicks are the most attractive around

I didn't even realise this was an issue in this country.
I guess I've been terribly sheltered by living in mulitcultural areas all my life. Where, as a person of anglo saxan descent, I have been as much a minority as everyone else, and it's just as common to have a relationship with someone from a different ethnic group as it is one of your own. Or maybe I've just had my head in t he sand, where it normally is.
So there's my answer, I don't have a problem with interracial relationships, and have never even really thought about it till now. (Well... maybe yesterday when I watched "save the last dance")

I don't agree with the melbourne part. In melbourne you find that there are many mixed couples. of course there are some of those jerks who have hangups but it is a very small minority. it's usually around the areas where a particular ethnic group are clustered.

The people who just limit themselves to one race are foolish cos there's beautiful people in every ethnic group/race, etc.
Talking of mixed Causasian/Asian couples, I reckon they should be actively encouraged because if they have kids they'll be Eurasian, and I've met some very attractive Eurasian people over the years!

I don't have a problem with interracial relationships, but its not for me. I have yet to see an attractive Asian or dark skinned person.
If u count Aussies amd Sweeds, or maybe Dutch as inter-racial then I'll give it the thumbs up though.

I'm aussie & my partner is half Chinese. I have never been treated so shabbily in my life than the way his full Chinese cousins have treated me.
But they can go stuff themselves, the racist moles! I haven't associated with them since & that was about 5 years ago.
You know I wouldn't look twice at an inter-racial couple but nothing spins me out more than seeing a real top sort walking hand in hand with a really ugly person. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but you know?

I can't say the race/nationality issue has ever come up in a relationship for me, so I won't pretend to know what it's like to have a whole family diss you for it, but you'd think some people regardless of race or colour would be more accepting of Australians and their culture, given that they have chosen to live here.
This doesn't mean to abandon their original culture or anything, but surely it's not much to ask to be tolerant of the people of your new chosen home.
BTW, spot on about ugloids with supermodels. Then again, it's the pot calling the kettle black, based on my recent exploits!
