Check out some the technical ability scores.

Sex Pistols 41
ColdPlay 41
Beastie Boys 40
Cure 28

LMAO considering Sid Viscious could barely play an instrument.

According to McLaren: "When Sid joined he couldn't play guitar but his craziness fit into the structure of the band. He was the knight in shining armour with a giant fist."[27] Lydon later recalled: "The first rehearsals with Sid were hellish. Everyone agreed he had the look. Sid tried real hard... but boy, he couldn't play guitar."

How embarrassed must the Cure feel. :D

Couple of whinges here.

The Who - arguably the best live band ever. But somehow, even the Beatles got given a better live score than them. Who knows how good the Beatles may have been live, but they only really played one concert when in their prime on a rooftop. Also a 73 for innovation. They made the first ever rock opera in Tommy, the third-placed Pink Floyd being one of the many bands to follow their lead. They also incorporated synthesisers into rock, one of the first bands to do so. And what other band would've been imaginative enough to think of smashing their equipment? You can't tell me U2 have been more innovative than them.

Queen got 91 for technical ability. Probably the best singer ever, brilliant guitarist, good drummer who was also one of the best backing vocalists ever, and a more than handy bass guitarist. What do they need to do to get 99? And they should also be higher up on the innovation score as they were as unique as bands come.

Also, The Jimi Experience getting the maximum for innovation? I agree he was great, but to me they were basically an insane guitarist with some pretty good support playing songs that were only worth listening to because of the insane guitar work that was going on. Technical ability deserved to be up at about 150, but I disagree on innovation.

Having said that, it's all subjective and everyone's list would be different.

U2 underrated in songs, innovation and consistency. And what a stupid category random play is. Who's ipod is that exactly? Better off having a category for radio play, or one for the range of the band.

How can generic bland crap like U2 be underrated on innovation?!

Innovation: (100 points max) The ability to define a genre or a sound or a technique,
Edge's guitar delay.
or to strongly influence bands that came after you,
Yep, U2 surely hasn't done that  right Brandon Flowers and Chris Martin?

The Sex Pistols are terrible, God Save the Queen is the only song worth listening to. Overall the band is all "style", no substance, which is why Sid was in it. If you think his work with the Sex Pistols is bad, he even released a solo album mainly full of covers. While he was probably half joking, his version of My Way is just a disgrace.

For the Pistols to get 41/50 for that criterion and some of the other ratings makes me think these numbers were all random.
