19 April Good Friday north/bulldogs/saints
20 April Sat as 18 April plus 2 games
21 April Sun 3 games
22 April Easter Monday Hawthorn/Geelong
23 April. (Day off?)
24 April Anzac Eve Wed Richmond/Melbourne
25 April Anzac Thu Essendon/Collingwood
26 April Fri one game probably not vic
27 April Sat 3 games
28 April Sun 3 games probably involving Geelong and hawthorn

Because the AFL tried it out and got 85k to the game. Thats enough to make it a thing.

I mean there is an opening for two of the teams to play the previous Thursday, but would have an advantage over the other two who would play Saturday. Unless both played Saturday and the Essendon Melbourne game is Etihad as will be next week

Not sure it is possible for Good Friday to fall on Anzac Day.

schedule will scupper most clubs attempts to requisition the Easter or even the Anzac day celebration.

boats will fail to sail. planes will fail to rise and yet they will rise to the occasion.

it is no anzac day without an airborne denomination in sight.

I far prefer the ANZAC Eve game to the overhyped, underwhelming Essendon-Collingwood game.

I reckon the closest it gets is 19 April. But Easter mon goes close
