Wow kudos for concentration skills lol

BUT

The real test is to compare that to other sides.

Please have same stats for the other 17 teams on my desk no later than close of business tonight.

:p
don't tempt me :P

Here's a stat or three with some witty commentary thrown in. In 1968, a premiership year, Carlton lost to Essendon on a very windy day at Princes Park. The Bombers must have thought it was Windy Hill. Our score that day 1.11.17. We went on to win the premiership 7.14.56 to 8.5.53. I'm not sure it's totally rare but the losing team kicked more goals than the winning team. Also Brian Kekovich, old brother of Slamming Sam, was a member and major contributor to the win. 4 goals I think.

You're right that's the only time that happened.

The next closest is the 2 time Collingwood has drawn a grand final they have kicked 1 less goal than their opposition.

There have been a handful of times the 2 teams have scored the same amount of goals but that's usually when the results are under a goal.

With the rumour mill spinning about the chance of Tom Boyd getting traded to us I thought it would be interesting to find out the last time a very high draft pick left or was traded to another club after just 1 year.

Nathan Buckley played 1 year with Brisbane in 1993 before being traded to Collingwood (I am not sure what he was traded for). Wikipedia says he was a zone selection - does this mean he didn't actually have a draft selection position allocated to him?

Has there been anything more recently?

He stated he only wanted to play for Collingwood and back then players were given 1 year deals not 2 after his one year deal he went to the pies.

Irony is a savage beast though. He claimed he wanted to play for Collingwood to win flags he won a spoon then lost 2 grand finals to the team he left

Always love when that happens. Adam Schneider - Sydney to St Kilda. Leigh Colbert - Geelong to North Melbourne. Can't think of anyone else.

When was the last time we failed to make finals and beat Coll, Ess & Rich in a season?
If we didn't beat Richmond that second time it would've been last year

Didn't play finals in 2012

Haven't beaten them since the drug saga broke

Edit: we also beat Collingwood twice in 2012
wasn't the op "When was the last time we failed to make finals and beat Coll, Ess & Rich in a season?"

I read it as miss finals and not beat any of them. Then I got confused and thought it was made finals but didn't beat them... My bad
