Not Fairbanks.

It’s Ushuaia, Argentina. Southernmost city* in the world at 55 degrees south. Very beautiful place to base yourself to explore Tierra del Fuego, and where the Antarctic cruises leave from.


*there are a couple tiny hamlets (with a couple hundred people) in Chile that are further south, but Ushuaia has about 80k people and is a fully fledged city.

Well MI is certainly centre of the image, yes. The lower peninsula really is a perfect oven mitt.

Though its borders aren’t apparent in that image, Wisconsin is also pretty hand-like.
