I had the best result.

Put on a multi bet with Saudi Arabia to beat Singapore, Japan to beat Thailand and Iran to beat Syria, which together paid about $1.70 when I did it. I made a mistake, put in Syria to draw with Iran which increased the odds to $8.28 and it came through with Iran's 0-0 with Syria, the Saudis 2-0 over Singapore and Japans 4-1 over Thailand

I read the Dutch were really good, up to minutes long passing the ball around - I didn't know they still had it in them.

Spain-France 1st half was boring, but in 2nd Spain hit the woodwork 4 times and Henry missed 2 opportunities late on to equalise.

And surprise, surprise.. Cristiano Ronaldo was poor against Italy, very consistent indeed.

Wasn;t as big as those results but my country of origin Malta won 1-0. Doesn;t happen very often, so thought I'd make mention of it :)

It's ****ing stupid for all concerned, Flamini has been a standout for Arsenal this season, not sure what injury he picked up, but now they risk playing without him because of a useless ****ing friendly which wasn't ****ing needed, not ****ing happy.. God, why the **** do they bother playing stupid ****ing friendlies with full teams? Just play the ****ing fringe players and be done with it, **** **** ****... ****en hell, ****!

You obviously don't understand the importance of friendlies.

Err, its so that when Euro rolls around they've had a chance to play matches with each other and know the setups etc. If England were in Euro and didn't play last night, Theyd have limited time with a new coach.

Uruguay battled back from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Colombia at Centenario stadium in Montevideo.

The hosts dominated throughout but Colombia defended well and hit back with quick counter attacks.

In the 24th minute Gremio striker Edixon Perea put the Cafeteros ahead and he doubled the advantage for Colombia with a strong shot from outside the box in the second half.

But the Uruguayans never gave up and Palermo forward Edison Cavani made it 2-1 before Ajax's Luis Suarez equalised in the 86th minute.

"The most important thing was the attitude," said Uruguay coach Oscar Washington Tabarez. "We have a lot to improve, but while the players show me this effort, I will be happy."

The match was used by both teams as a warm up for the upcoming World Cup Qualifiers matches.

In June, Uruguay will face Venezuela and Peru, while Colombia will play against Peru and Ecuador.

Elsewhere, South American Qualifiers' leaders Paraguay surprisingly lost 2-0 to Honduras in Tegucigalpa.

In the 47th minute Amado Guevara put the hosts ahead from the penalty spot before Carlo Costly extended the lead seven minutes later.

Bolivia recorded an impressive 2-1 triumph against Peru in La Paz.

Ricardo Pedriel headed home a Limberg Gutierrez' free-kick before Pedro Garcia levelled.

And with less than a minute before the final whistle, Leonel Reyes secured the victory for Erwin 'Platini' Sanchez's side.

Meanwhile, in Puerto La Cruz, Venezuela scraped a 1-1 draw with Haiti.

The Caribbean side started better and Cobreloa forward Brunel Facien put them ahead before Alexander Rondon equalised just before the break.

Jamaica rescued a 1-1 draw with Costa Rica as Toronto's Tyron Marshall headed home a Marlon King corner late on.

Victor Nunez had put Costa Rica ahead in the 78th with a powerful drive.

Finally, Trinidad and Tobago drew 0-0 with Guadeloupe.

A brace by Gonzalo Higuain helped a young Argentina side rout Guatemala 5-0 at the Memorial Coliseum stadium in Los Angeles.

Sergio Batista included Juan Roman Riquelme, Javier Mascherano and Martin Demichelis in line-up likely to represent the country at the Olympics in Beijing and they were never tested by a poor Guatemala side.

Higuain and Ezequiel Lavezzi were the stars of the game and the former opened the scoring after 14 minutes before the Napoli player doubled the advantage after good play by Riquelme.

Lavezzi turned provider with 20 minutes left as he strode down the left wing before finding Higuain, who finished with aplomb.

Substitutes Jonathan Maidana and Marco Ruben came off the bench to complete the scoring for Argentina, who this year in Beijing will defend the Olympic gold medal they won in Athens four years ago.

Jonny Magallon scored twice to help Mexico earn a 2-2 draw with the United States on Wednesday in a friendly match ahead of this year's qualifying campaign for the 2010 World Cup.

The United States twice held a one-goal lead but Magallon's first career international goals denied the Americans the win.

Mexico have been dominated by the US in recent meetings, failing to win the last nine meetings.

But that did not matter to Magallon, who was the difference for Mexico.

The United States opened the scoring in the 29th minute when Oguchi Onyewu scored a header after a throw-in from the left sideline.

Magallon first equalised in the 36th minute when he converted a free kick into the top left corner of the net.

Just five minutes later, Josmer Altidore put the United States ahead in the 40th minute as he placed a header into the right corner.

But Mexico responded in the 48th minute as Magallon sent a header into the left side from a corner kick.

Seeking their sixth straight World Cup appearance, the Americans have a first-round bye and open qualifying in June against Barbados or Dominica.

Meanwhile, Mexico will face the winner of Belize against St. Kitts and Nevis.
