International Roos

The Munich Kangaroos are one of the bigger clubs in the AFL Germany. A great bunch of lads who certainly know how to celebrate a victory in style (or any result for that matter).

One of our own posters pulled on the boots to make a cameo appearance in the Oktoberfest Cup for them a few years back. Rumour has it that his performance when things kicked onto the 'fest post match was far superior to his onfield exploits.

I believe he kicked 3 goals including one on his non-preferred and he was doing so well that they made him goal umpire for the last quarter.

Was heard to remark that the all-German backline of the opponents, the Frankfurt Redbacks, was "very disciplined".

Post-match performance was indeed legendary, though.

The Etobicoke Kangaroos of the Ontario league dropped out of the men’s comp for a couple of years and fielded only a women’s side, but looks like they’re back with both teams
