France :D

You all know Queiroz is suspended at the moment don't you... apparently he told a drug tester to insert his testing equipment in a senstitve part of his mother's anatomy. Doesn't explain drawing 4-4 at home to ****ing Cyprus though.

Delighted to see Corry Evans off the mark in international football. He was only just on too apparently. Handy for both Irelands to get off to a winning start in eastern Europe, which has traditionally been a graveyard of Irish football ambitions.

Bad news for Spurs fans, Michael Dawson went over on the notorious Wembley turf and is expected to miss at least six weeks. Actually looked worse at the time, looked like a cruciate.

France back in the groove with a 2-0 away victory over Bosnia, who are very good at home usually. Seems the Laurent Blanc era has finally gotten underway.

We beat Poland 2-1.

England 3-1 against ten-man Switzerland. Rooney scored early on, but England were less than convincing in the second half, nice pass from Gerrard for Adam Johnson made it 2-0 though. A screamer from an 18-year-old Swiss Albanian whose name may or may not be Shakira, but Darren Bent made it 3-1 with a few minutes left.

And Scotland needed 6 minutes of injury time to beat Liechtenstein :D

I set the alarm for 6am, awoke and then cbf'd so I missed the game but Argentina vs. Spain must've been a ripper. 4-1 to the Argies, with all their main strikers getting on the scoreboard (Messi, Higuain, Tevez and Aguero) while Llorente scored for Spain in the 84th to make the scoreline 3-1 before a goal on 90m to the Argies again.

Pity it was last night and not around NYE when I'll be in Buenos Aires.

Note to: Pepe 'Calamity' Reina

When given a rare start for your country, don't give your best David James impersonation.

Meaninginless friendly; he wont start in the important matches.

Form is irrelevant, if Iker is fit, he keeps for Spain in the important matches.

Reina was the best keeper in the EPL last season by a big, big distance, if it wasn't for him, Liverpool would have been relegated - yet, was never going to displace Iker.

Who cares if he lost his footing for Spain in Argeninta, playing a meaningless friendly after a long flight.

Reina's incident is a storm in a teacup, anyone could have slipped and embaressed themselves.

I see Portugal set the world on fire yet again. Average team with plodders like Pepe and Meireles.

Plenty of cockups for Reina so far this season, too much celebrating in the off season maybe.

Good watching the Engerland match. 6 blues on the pitch at the end for England makes a bit of a difference from days gone by where we'd struggle to have a player in the B team.

Plenty? He's made two - and I could not give a **** if he cocks up for Spain. **** them.
Given the season is only a few games in, and given his usual reliability I'd say plenty. How many mistakes would he normally make in a season?

A **** up for Spain is still a **** up, so that'd be three he's made by my reckoning (I'm sure he was responsible for a goal in two of your league matches).

Was he?

The Barry goal was Gerrard's laziness, the second one with horrible set-piece defending as usual - mainly Skrtel's fault, and the third was a pretty damn good penalty, after a laughable Skrtel decision to go diving in on a player who had already fallen over his own feet.

Pleased with England's start to the qualifiers.

Defence has been good without Terry and Ferdinand.

Might be time to leave Lampard out when he regains fitness. The midfield looks better without him in it at the moment.

I saw a bit of the Aussie game. A bit rough on Mcdonald not being given penalty duties. Given how the media have been on his back about not scoring, that would have been the perfect opportunity to get off the mark (unless he went off the field when I wasn't watching?).

I think McDonald just needs that first goal, then he won't stop, jeez Holman looks a gem.
