Internet Chat Rooms?

Depends what server and depends what channel.

I usually go onto the trivia channels and they're OK.

Went to #perth on Austnet the other day and all it was was lamers joing going "any young girls wanna chat.. blah blah". I spent the time there dishing out a bit of **** to them cos I was bored.

Made a few lasting friendships out of the afore mentioned trivia chans.

Had one relationship that I thought was true love and that was a stuff up. Turns out she was telling 3 other guys the same thing, nearly quit my job and moved city to be with her.. a close call.

The way Mobben has described the way he met his wife is the way to go, if you think you're in love with someone by the words they say on the computer screen.. forget it. It is your imagination working overtime. Meeting people then falling for each other is OK.

Gotta side with Jacs and DB on this.

Jen and I knew each other for 20 months, combining phone conversations with our chat-room experiences, before I made my first trip out here in June of 2000. I honestly thought that with that combination, we knew each other pretty well.

But within three weeks after arriving here and ACTUALLY spending time in her presence, it felt like a dream come true.

That's when I popped the question to her on bended knee on the floor at Thomas' Jewelers in Ballarat... and the rest, as they say, is history.

Seeing each other face to face definitely makes the difference.

It's a bloody eye opener. I did that a couple of years ago for a laugh and I'm amazed by some of the crap I was messaged with.

when I am bored I visit these rooms, they always ask a/s/l, last time i went there I said I was a 10 year old boy, some old man 50 said he wanted to be like an Uncle to me, spoke to him for about 10 mins, he was married with 3 kids, sickos out there.
I was shocked but next time I am going to have fun with them & screw with there minds.

Some of the people I chat with created a room just for us when we get bored. We crowd in there, make each other hosts and swear and muck around and kick each other out constantly.

I just tried this out. I went into a room and claimed to be a 13 y/o girl. The first guy messaged me and said Hi. This was followed up with want to suck my c#$%. Some sick ppl in Perth unfortunately

Seems these chatrooms haven't changed, that is why I never visit them anymore, OH ILW I don't think the sickos are only in Perth, unfortunately there are sickos everywhere.
